Gillette Ridge
Played On 08/12/2022As long as you don’t have plans after your round…
Love the course, it’s so much fun to play target golf around there and test your game. However all three weekday rounds I’ve played this year have been either 6 hours or on pace for 6 hours after needing to leave after 9 holes.
I get that weekend play is tough to get in within 6 hours this anywhere these days, but weekdays too? Raise the price by 5 bucks a round and hire a ranger to move people along. Mr. Palmer would not be pleased with the reputation that this beauty is receiving. Other members of my group said the same thing and the overall consensus is there are definitely other places around that you can play a full 18 in 5 hours or less on a weekday.
So sad, but the overall 2 stars is deserving and would be a 1 if not for the exceptional staff who didn’t have any problem issuing a rain check after making the turn in 3 hours and 15 minutes

Great course, great conditions year round. Just prepare yourself mentally that your round will be 4 and half hours plus. I’ve been here on weekdays and weekends, mornings and afternoons, and in all times of the year. I’ve never had a round under 4 hours. The course gets a lot of play from all skill levels wishing to play a Dye course, which is fine. The problem is that the staff does not speed up slower groups or recommend struggling golfers to play an easier tee. Would definitely play it more or consider membership if the rangers and staff patrolled the course and kept play moving. Nobody wants to have a 5 hour round waiting to hit every shot. As Arnie and Jack have long been preaching, “while we’re young!”

Played On 09/28/2017Nice greens on this short course. A group of five slowed the round down considerably and not the first time I've seen it here. Would recommend at a discount rate, but make sure to tie your bag down tight... by far the worst cart paths still existing on a golf course without being re-paved. Would recommend walking it's that bad.
