We had a wonderful day at the Port Royal Barony course. Check in was quick and we got out right on time. We never waited on a shot and finished in 3 1/2 hours. Fairways were in good shape and the greens were excellent.
Fun course to play!

We played mid-day and the course wasn't very busy so we got around well under 4 hours. From the gold tees it's a challenging layout with hilly and sloping terrain, so you need to think about your shots before firing away. Fairway conditions were ok and the greens putted nicely - the rough was well, rough. Lots of trees so there's a premium on accuracy. It's not a resort course but it's convenient to the Niceville area and a fun course to go and work on your game. I'd play it again.

Our first time at Regatta Bay GC. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly - from the guys at the bag drop, pro shop, rangers and maintenance crew. The course was in good shape and although the greens had been punched and sanded a week ago they putted very well. The fairways and rough were very playable and I wish I had Regatta's bunkers back at my home course. We played as a 2-some and finished under 3 1/2 hours. While we didn't really wait on any shots, but the ranger said there was a slight backup several holes ahead and he took off and "managed" it. Drinks and appetizers on the porch afterwards watching the groups come on 18 was a relaxing and enjoyable way to end the day!

I read previous reviews for Pocotillo and they were overwhelmingly positive, so I was interested. Phoenix is very crowded this week and we wanted to play on a course a little less crowded. The morning drive down to Chandler was easy and traffic was flowing in the opposite direction. The course and surrounding area is beautiful and the clubhouse is very nice. The staff was friendly, especially the players assistants who found us and got us to the proper tees right on time. Course conditions were terrific and the greens were in great shape. The layout was challenging, fun and fair - we loved the wide fairways. Pace of play was great - a 4 hr. 15 min. round with one polite reminder from the ranger. Overall a great value and a wonderful day of golf. By the way, we had lunch afterwards - the loaded 1/2 lb. burger and the Southwest salad - the food and service were excellent and the setting overlooking the course was really relaxing. We'll definitely play Ocotillo the next time we're in Phoenix!

We made our tee time thru GolfNow and that worked perfectly. We were paired up with a lovely couple from Atlanta, teed of right on time and played to a 4 hour pace. The fairways were in terrific condition, we wish ours were like that back home. The recent storms did some light damage to the course (bunkers) but by and large the course was in great shape. The greens were a bit bumpy but fast. We'd play there again next time in Destin.
