I used to play this course all the time but I haven't been
back since I moved to Phoenix 8 years ago. I guess I forgot that courses in TX do not overseed at this time of year. However, the fairways were horrendous and, for the price, not worth playing. And, then there were a group of 8 people playing the same hole.

The course is a beautiful course, great layout and friendly staff but the course itself is in poor condition. There's a lot of hard pan and dry/diseased grass.

I read some really bad reviews of this course and then read some great ones. The difference was the date. I found out from some guys I played with that earlier this year they added some poison to the water ponds to try and kill some of the cat tails and then the grounds crew watered the course with the reclaimed water from the ponds = dead grass. New mgmt took over and the course now is spectacular. The fairways are nice and green and the rough presents an interesting challenge. What you need to be prepared for are the greens that put like glass. The clubhouse had been remodeled and the staff was more than accommodating and professional. I will definitely play there again!!
