It’s pouring and we can’t play (2 hrs now in the clubhouse), but they won’t close the course, despite temporary power outage inside. SMH.

Played On 03/11/20161st time
1st time playing the course. It's refreshing for S. FL, in that albeit quite challenging, it's not because there's water water, everywhere. This course has some changes in elevation. with many doglegs; both right and left; the ability to shape your shots off the tee is beneficial. Tee boxes and fairways where less than stellar but still well maintained and sand in traps was predictable. The finishing hole provides a small Island green after a nearly 90 degree dogleg left; nice.

Inverrary is a grand old course that is a pleasure to play when in great shape, as it is now.

Played On 6/1/2013Great Course!!
The course is a premier course and with GolfNow, a great deal. This is a pristine, high end course with perfect fairways, predictable rough and true greens (albeit quite fast). It's a beautiful layout with strategic water hazards on most holes. it's not incredibly long, only 6800 from the back tees, but is challenging enough to make long hitters really consider how to attack the course. You can't just bomb it past the hazards, or over the corners.

Played On 5/24/2013Tee through first cut is magnificent, but greens and rough need work
The greens were very hairy and slow, albeit having received a lot of rain that week. The tee boxes, and fairways were immaculate however, suggesting the greens may simply have been the result of much rain the previous week. The rough however was over grown and patchy, and in need of care. "Hard sell" the cart girl is a bit annoying as well; at least she's not hard to find tho.
East at Orangebrook Country Club
Played On 5/3/2013water water everywhere
It was west course only, cart path only, and there was water everywhere. Balls right down the middle ended up in temporary lakes where the water had not drained off the fairways. There seemed to be no real organization as I had three different groups immediately behind me during my round of 18, the last driving across waterlogged fairways and rushing me, a single by playing from the front tees and, as stated disregarding the cart path only rule. However, Iv'e played here before and really enjoyed it.
Heron Bay Golf Course
Played On 4/19/2013challenging stadium layout
Great course for the $. Challenging stadium layout with wide open layout, but lots of sand to punish the imprecise shot. good news - balls in sand are still in play and obviously not lost. The wind was blowing hard when we played which significantly increased this courses already long lenth.

Played On 2/28/2013fun course
Course is wide open with some water. 6800+ yards from the blue tees. Well maintained with true greens. My twosome got paired up with a great twosome and we had a lot fun. My only complaint is that when we finished on a Sunday at 4:30, we could not get anything hot to eat because the Kitchen staff had already left.
