This course would be decent if you could spend your time and money actually playing golf instead of waiting on every hole praying that a good Marshall will actually do something about the pace of play. They overbook and could care less if you have a 5 hour day. For a 5800 yard course, it's flat out ridiculous that they allow this. Come on Upland Hills, hire a Marshall ! You raised your prices, now step up the quality. And btw, put some sand in your bunkers too. Many of them need work.

Came here to the East Course to play nine holes with a group. I have to say, I paid $30 for nine holes and even if it was $5, it would have been too much. What the heck happened here? Sure it's been raining, but the course must not have any drains or mowers. They should just close for now, or this place is going to be destroyed from the carts. Besides the mud and muck, the grass is almost a foot tall in the rough and you will not find your ball without a good eye and a search party. I've played on dirt golf courses that were better. The Greens were also punched with heavy sand coverage, but you can tell that once they recover, they will be in decent shape. That's the only good thing I can say right now. Come on RV, golf is your business, but it won't be for long with course conditions like this.

Been playing Upland for years and it's usually ok.
I played this morning with two others and between us we lost at least 10 balls due to the ridiculously long rough. Ten inches or longer in some areas even just just off the fairway. If you play here and you can't stripe it down the middle, you better bring the cheap balls. What should be an easy 4 hours turned into 4 hrs 45 minutes because every group ahead of you spends so much time searching through the mess. Also noticed that the greens have so many unfixed divots. I believe this is due to players not caring about the greens because they are already so aggravated by the time they reach the green. If you can find your ball, the rough is unplayable. Come on Upland Hills, mow the rough or charge less until you do. I won't be back until then.

Spent an enjoyable round on the Nay Course. The course is in good shape for the most part. The fairways had very few bare spots and were rolling out a bit due to the hot weather. The bunkers were in good condition and the greens were rolling fast and true. I like this course because it does take a fair amount of management. You definitely use every club in your bag here. POP was great this time at 4 hours even. Got out on time as usual. This is also a great course to walk. In fact, with all the runners and exercise junkies on the paths around the course, you'll feel lazy if you are capable of walking and you decide to ride... haha

Fairways: Green and well maintained with minimal bare spots.
Tees: Mostly level and decent coverage.
Greens: Medium Fast, Great Shape. (FIX YOUR BALL MARKS)
Sand: Acceptable
Pace: Horrible for a Sunday afternoon. 5.75 hours.
Final Comments: To many players blasting music from their carts. It's golf people, not a party! I blame this on the course.

As usual, the course was in great shape. Would be even better if people would fix ball marks on the greens and fill divots on the tees and fairways.
Anyway, I like the course a lot. Our pace of play on a Sunday was horrible. 5 hours 45 minutes is totally unacceptable for a course with fairways this wide and of this caliper. They need a Marshall that keeps it moving and suggests the right tees for the groups ability. Not sure why all courses let a 25 handicap player tee it up from the blues. It slows down play and makes it discouraging for the player. Just my rant! Still, it's a great course.

Played at 730 on this rainy Saturday morning.
Check in was great, got out on time.
The course was pretty soggy which is typical for MC this time of the year. Lots of deer roaming the fairways as usual. The fairways are really bumpy with a lot of thin grass. Rough is not bad and playable. Sand traps were wet and firm and could use a bit more sand. The greens were soggy and holding every decent shot. They were bumpy and didn't hold their line very well. Speed of the greens were unpredictable due to the wetness. One thing stuck out. There is a lot of debris laying around throughout the course that with a little routine maintenance could be easily removed. All in all, it was a fun round on a typical MC day. POP was just under 4 hours.

Booked an afternoon round online 2 days in advance. The day of I tried to have a buddy join me. I called the course early in the morning and was told they are completely booked. I show up for my tee time and they send me out as a single between a bunch of 4somes. That's poor management.
Anyway, course was in decent shape aside from the rough needing to be cut. POP was 4.5 hours.

Played the ole Chino Creek from the blues on 1/3 and then came back to play the whites on 1/5. I'm mentioning this because I have noticed that there are so many players here that jump on the blue tees and then spend the whole day slowing everyone down simply because of ability. Playing from the white tees improved my score and was much more enjoyable than hitting from the trees and not being able to reach the GIR. Anyway, with that said....

This course is always hit and miss. Many areas on the course were soaked and muddy. Lift clean and place was a must on almost every hole. Both sets of tees could use some work on the leveling and divots. The greens are the best part of the course with most of them in good shape holding approach shots. The rough is a little beat up and in many areas it's hard to find your ball. The staff is always friendly and the driving range is one of the few that still have grass instead of mats, which is a huge plus these days. I do like this course and will continue to come back and play it "from the white tees".

Played on Sunday 11/24/19. I always enjoy this course no matter the condition for the serenity and scenery. If you've played here before you know that it is a haven for deer and squirrels. Anyway, on to the course. I was pleasantly surprised that the greens were in great shape and at a fair speed for this place. If they are too fast, it can become ridiculous when you are above the hole on most of the greens. (That's my tip for the day) The fairways are decent with a few bare spots. The rough is not difficult. The sand traps need some work and the tee boxes are currently over seeded on more than half the holes. Nice to see management making the effort to smooth them out. Also, my lower back thanks you for putting in those new cart paths. haha
POP on Sunday was 4.5 hours and I had a fun time enjoying the peace and quiet at MC.
For the record, just after a heavy rain, this place can get a little soggy. So wait a week or so.

Upon paying for the round, I was told that the green fee included range balls and two meals. How can you beat that.
The staff was very friendly. Tee'd off on time as a single and after reaching the first green I was happy to see that it was flawless, just as the practice green was. In fact, all the greens were in great shape. The tee boxes were lightly overseeded and for the most part flat. The fairways were decent with few bare spots. I ate my free hot dog at the turn and proceeded to finish the round in 4 hours, 15 minutes.
On the back nine, be aware that it isn't the most serene place to play with all the trains going by purposely blowing the horn in your backswing. At least it seems that way. All in all, it was a good day at Shandin Hills.

Played Sunday morning 11/3/19.
The course right now is in great condition. The fairways are green with minimal bare spots. The greens are excellent as you would expect for the price they charge to play. The bunkers look good. I didn't have a chance to try them, which is a good thing. The big problem with this course on the weekend is the slow play. Management here has no clue how to keep the players moving. After 4 hours and 13 holes, I quit. You really feel ripped off when you pay full price and this happens. All it would have taken is 1 marshal on the course to push slow players back on pace. And if you are a golfer who is just learning or just really bad, pick up the ball after 10 shots or stick to the range for awhile. You can't slow anyone down there.
Sierra Lakes, you owe me 5 holes! Frustrating Day in Fontana. I'm still recommending this course, but not on the weekend.

Golf is a hard game, but when you have to wait 10 minutes to hit a shot from the fairway, it tests your patience and makes it harder. The POP here is terrible. 5 hours is ridiculous. With that said, if you can catch this course on a quiet day, you'll enjoy it. Tee boxes could be better, the fairways are decent, the greens are good with the exception of many un fixed divots. Come on folks, you know who you are, fix them and a few more, you have time at this place. The sand is average, hit and miss, and the layout is a bit odd on some holes. The scenery is great and there are few deer to take pictures of while you are waiting to tee off. Don't play here on the weekend, but give it a shot during the week. And for God sake, don't bring a 5 some. Leave the odd man out at home.

Haven't play Dos Lagos for awhile. It was a beautiful day. Fairways were pretty good. Some tee boxes were pretty uneven but some were good. The sand traps really need work. The greens were soft and kind of bumpy but in decent condition. People, fix the divots that you make and a few more when you can. POP was at 4.5 hours. Not bad for a Sunday morning. I liked the course even though some or the holes are a bit quirky. All in all, not a bad day on the course.

Although it's slightly out of my price range on the weekend, I decided to play GC because of my past experiences here. As usual the course was living up to its standards. On a beautiful morning I was able to get right on as a single playing with a very nice couple. First off, I grabbed a small bucket of balls and hit the range. The range stalls here seem way to close together. I felt crammed in with others hitting about 2 feet from me. On to the course. I teed off exactly on time. The fairways were green and lush, the rough was perfect and the greens were in good shape rolling at a medium pace. Same as most courses, "fix your ball marks people" ! I fixed so many that were not mine that they should have paid me to play there. haha Anyway, to wrap it up, the bunkers were nice and the POP was right at 4 hours. I'll definitely be back.

Played on 9/8/19 on a beautiful day. Haven't played this course in awhile but always go to the range in the evening because of the music and relaxing atmosphere. Anyway, the course in is great condition. Fairways are very green and lush for this time of year after all the 100 degree days of summer. The greens were playing fairly fast and are good shape except for a lot of divots that just need to be repaired by the players that make them. I found two bunkers during my round and both needed to be raked so that the sand would be evenly dispersed. POP was average for the weekend at 4 1/2 hours. They just need a marshal out there keeping the turtles moving. All in all it was a good day at Mountain Meadows. I'll play here again soon..

I love coming to SDC. Usually this course is in top condition for all the play it gets. I played here two weeks ago with my brother and we really enjoyed the course conditions. This time, not so much. Looks like they just flat out stopped watering the fairways for them to die out in two weeks. The greens and collars are still in great shape and that saved the day. There are many brown / dead grass and even dirt areas in the fairways. Too bad !! I like the layout and the quiet atmosphere. The POP has been getting a little better here. I think that the management is finally realizing that 5 1/2 hours is unacceptable here. Still a lot of 5somes though. One other minor thing. The cart GPS stinks. Too many questions to answer and it didn't work for most of the round. If you enjoy links golf on a regular course, come here now. The ball rolls for ever and sometimes out of bounds. Good luck! All in all it's a good deal for 19 bucks on golfnow in the afternoon. Tee boxes need mowing, fairways are decent but the green are pretty bad. Maybe 5 or 6 are OK. We missed a lot of putts because of the greens.
Fun day though.
