Barefoot Resort & Golf - Love Course
Played On 05/10/2017Spectacular layout and overall beautiful course
We have played Fazio and Love so far in the Barefoot area and we enjoyed Love by far. It is a beautiful course with some challenging shots on greens that give way to collection areas on the back. You need to be accurate with your club selection, but it is very enjoyable course to play. We played it with a group of 8 people with handicaps ranging from 2 to 25 and we all enjoyed it. Recommended in the Myrtle Beach area!
Barefoot Resort & Golf - Fazio Course
Played On 05/08/2017Beautiful golf course but challenging
We played the black tees on the Fazio course and there were some very challenging and long par 4's on the front side. The back 9 was a little less challenging and made it more enjoyable for a 10 and above handicap. The clubhouse was beautiful and the staff were stellar. I would recommend this course for any handicap but would advise to be extra attentive to the tees you select.
River Hills Golf & Country Club
Played On 05/05/2017Spectacular layout and overall beautiful course
I am down on an annual golf trip to Myrtle beach with a group of 8. We thoroughly enjoyed this course. We played the course two days in a row, and although windy it was a very scenic course and beautiful layout. It is a little challenging and you need to be careful with your shot selections as there is a lot of water on the course, but it was a definite treat to play. Would recommend for any handicap.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 03/26/2017Best course in Orlando area for the price
We've golfed a lot of courses in the Orlando area and this is by far the best for the money. In the $50-$60 range, this is the finest course we've played in the Orlando area. The fairways and greens were close to perfect. The greens roll fairly slow but they are perfectly cut. All around beautiful course, and it's so good we will be playing again tomorrow morning before we go back to Canada.
Bay Hill Club & Lodge - Championship Course
Played On 03/25/2017Fantastic course and fantastic facility!
Bay Hill was certainly a bucket list course for me and it did not disappoint! Just to be able to play on a course the pros play on is a treat. We played off the yellow tees that are about 6400 yards. The pros play off 7300 yards, which is amazing when you think about it. The greens were absolutely immaculate and rolled extremely true, and the fairways were also a treat to hit off of. The four caddie that was with us was very very helpful and a pleasure to be around. I would recommend this course for the low handicap lovers of golf who want to experience a day like the pros - including the caddie who watches over your every shot and guides you through every putt on the course. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bay Hill, however probably won't golf here again because of the price to golf and stay - it was more less a bucket list item for me.
Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
Played On 03/24/2017Course was in great shape
I have now played all of the Disney courses in the Orlando area and I have not yet been disappointed. LBV was in fantastic shape and the greens were rolling very nice and true. My only complaint is that we did not see the cart lady once during our round, other than her passing by when we were waiting to tee off. We did tee off around 3pm but I still think there should have been somebody catering on the course. I recommend this course to any handicap and enjoyed my experience, once again, at Disney.
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 03/23/2017Good course for money paid
This course has great value for money spent for green fees. This is my third time playing the course and really enjoy the layout. Most holes you can use driver with trees on both sides of the fairways with a couple of scenic par threes with water. Overall another great experience and would recommend for anybody looking for budget golf.
The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
Played On 03/22/2017This course needs work
Although the layout is very nice, this course was certainly not what we expected. The course was very dried out and the greens were horrible and slow. We were 15 minutes late trying to find the place was not worth the $47 we paid for green fees. With added maintenance and attention to detail, this course could be a nice attraction, but right now i would not recommend.
Disney's Magnolia Golf Course
Played On 02/13/2016Exciting and beautiful course to play
After playing the Palm course the day before, Magnolia was a new experience for me and it was a very exciting place to be. For a 6 handicap, it was definitely my kind of course. The fairways and greens were in fantastic shape for this time of year and the staff at the course were extremely accommodating and very nice. The only concern I would have with the course was the pace of play. We were behind a group of two, and a group of 4 ahead of them that were very slow. Waiting a very long time between shots on the front nine, but on the back nine it picked up a fair bit, which was good. I would certainly recommend this course to all age groups and handicaps as the course itself holds so much history that is displayed on every tee box. Knowing you've played a PGA course that greats like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus have mastered feels very special.
The Country Club of Mount Dora
Played On 02/10/2016Great place for a very well priced round of golf
Our goal when we got to Orlando was to feel out what courses were a "good bang for our buck" being Canadians and with the dollar being ridiculous right now. We came across this course, and this definitely was great value. The greens were in great shape for this time of year and the course was fun to play with lots of challenges on most holes. The clubhouse was very nice and the staff and locals were very nice and accommodating when needed. Would definitely recommend this course for "value".
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 02/09/2016Beautiful course with great value
Out of the 7 courses I played in Orlando this past week, this was definitely one of my favorites. The facilities surrounding the Golf Course alone were very attractive for me which included a lit range and 24 hour putting surface/practice green. Although it was very chilly and windy on the day we played the course, it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff were great and one of the marshalls actually played a hole with us down the stretch towards dark! We managed to get all 27 holes in at this course. It was in fantastic shape and would recommend to ALL golfers.
