I enjoyed the course for the most part but didn't enjoy all the construction vehicles and noise around the course. The workers work ignoring the fact that people playing would appreciate quiet when they hit their shots. There were 2 course workers on 1 hole trimming the grass around sandtraps near the green. The ignored and/or didn't hear my repeated attempts to get their attention. I didn't want to hit the workers and waited and waited. They have a job to complete but need to be aware of oncoming golfers.

The weather was warm but windy which made playing Remington a bit more of a challenge. My friend & I had a good day and moved around quickly. We were not able to play 1 par 3 as there was watering of the green and the water was turned off as we cane ti the tee, The green was wet with several streams of water so be bypassed that par 3. As a result of the watering, the greens were good with lots of breaks.

1st time playing.. I'd heard about the course and imagined a scruffy course but was pleasantly surprised. The course gets a lot of play so it's slow but the course is a variety of interesting holes. I never thought I'd be driving alongside a major NYC expressway enroute to the last of the back 9 holes.
The signage is crisp and to the point.. you should add a new sign pointing out the last few holes since we had to stop someone and ask. I hope to return.

Winding Hills lives up to its' name. You play golf thru the trees and hills and this is not just a little chip and putt course. I thoroughly enjoyed my round. Yes, most holes are short so it's a good short iron practice (which I need) and the greens are well maintained and have a lot of contouring.. they aren't flat as a pancake but are tricky (but fair except for the one where the pin was way in the back on a little shelf).
