Played On 04/08/2021Well designed course with narrow fairways and maintained greens. The pace of play was extremely slow. Tee off at 2:20 and only made it to hole 15 before it was too dark.

I arrived at the course between 1:52 PM and 1:55 PM for a 2:00 PM tee time and waited in the pro shop for 8 minutes with no one in sight. When someone finally showed up was told that I could catch my group on hole 11 because they have a HS group starting ahead of me. When I challenged was told that I didn’t arrive at the course early enough. Basically, they were catering to the larger group and I was told that my business didn’t matter.

It’s hard to find quality courses for the cheap in OC. So, I like to drive to the Corona area and play Glen Ivy. Always in good condition and the pace of play is great. I definitely recommend.

If you’re looking for a cheap round with available AM tee times this is the place. The greens are kept up okay, but the fairways are rough, even for a public course.

The course is in good shape and it’s pretty easy to get on. They’ve moved up the back tee boxes on the long par 4’s and 5’s. Good for me, but not as challenging for advanced players.

Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club

I found this course to be good for a beginner golfer. The fairways are wide and if you miss hit your tee shot you can easily play from the other fairway. It’s a popular course so pace of play is a little on the slow side.

I’ve played this course several times and always found it challenging. Unfortunately, like a number of courses this one has declined a bit. Other than the some rough patches the course played well.
