Aeration ruins round

I showed up for my tee time and was informed that the greens had been “punched” the day before. I was offered a discounted rate so that made my decision to play anyway. The layout is nice but not being able to putt made the round disappointing.

We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We work hard to maintain the course for everyone's benefit, which means punching the greens is part of our regular maintenance schedule. The greens will be healed soon and in pristine condition. We are glad you enjoyed the layout of the golf course and we hope that you will join us again at Pearland Golf Club at Country Place.

Wildcat Highlands

I thought the course was in good condition. The grounds crew was out on the course the entire round. I had to politely ask the man in the work cart to stop talking on his phone as he sat on the tee box directly behind mine as I was trying to tee off. In addition, one of the work crew was using a very loud blower to clear the clippings and he was following us on at least 4-5 holes. It became very annoying. Other than those issues, the rest fo the round was very enjoyable.

Blind shots and slow greens

If you like blind shots from the tees and fairways this is your course. There are no other guides to indicate target areas and the score card map layout is no help. The greens were huge on some holes which makes it even harder when you can only see the top of the flag stick. The greens were also super slow.

Thanks for the review! Lakes Course greens are coming along very nicely after aerification, but they are a little slower than the Highlands. Blind shots with the elevation changes is what makes our courses unique! Hope you will try us again! Thanks.
