First time here and was very surprised. Hour drive from Panama City Beach. The clubhouse was nothing special but I wasn't there to sit in the proshop. After playing courses in PCB and Destin I was very surprised to see how green the fairways and greens were. The rough was dry and dormant which provided for good rolls. The greens were in great shape with good rolls, a little slow if you're used to tournament play. Overall I was happy with the course, especially for the money. The carts were gas engines and a little run down but got the job done.

This was my first time at the property. You enter the property via a closed gate and the security officer was friendly and helpful. Upon approaching the clubhouse I was impressed with the cleanliness of the practice area and parking lot. My greeting in the pro shop was professional and friendly. I booked my tee time via Golfnow, which I know can be looked down on at some golf clubs but not here, I was treated like a club member. The range is large and complimentary balls are in abundance. A large chipping and putting green are adjacent to the range where Bill the starter was extremely helpful and friendly as well as getting us started on time. I was paired up with another single and a pair to make our foursome. The pace of play was 1:50 for the first nine and about 2 hours for the back nine. I understand that the grass is dormant this time of year so it was not as lush and green as I'm used to so the beauty aspect was not visually appealing. Once on the green I was surprised at how well and true the ball rolled as they did not look as good as you would expect. The fairways were in very good shape for the winter and the rough was short. They have numerous tee boxes for your level of play. There is enough water and bunkers to make it fun. The carts appear to be fairly new with modern and accurate GPS. Overall my experience was a very good one and will definitely be back. I can only imagine how beautiful this course is in the summer. I have played other courses in Destin, not to be critical of the others but this is a very superior course.
