Avery Ranch Golf Club
Played On 11/02/2017Challenging Course!
Pretty course, always a pleasure to play. Marked weather as "wet" due to wet fairways and bunkers and played cart path only (at least some of us did). Played longer than the yardage said. Pace was right at 4 hours even with cart path only, although it felt like we waited on every fairway. Pretty course - lots of ravines to hit over!
Grey Rock Golf Club
Played On 09/19/2017Nice Course!
Great condition, both fairways and greens. Loved the pace of play, did not have to wait at all. Will return.
The Grand Bear Golf Course
Played On 12/28/2016Great course!
Great condition - love playing it. Great value for the money!
Grey Rock Golf Club
Played On 06/22/2015Excellent conditions!
Extremely well maintained - both fairways and greens - much better than other public courses I've played, and some private. Pace of play was 3:30, and we saw no one else the entire time. Sand traps were the best I've been in (and I was in them a lot!) - nice, white, deep sand. Will definitely go back, even though I live in Georgetown and have to fight the Austin traffic to get back! Only negative for me was Pepsi only products.
The Golf Club Star Ranch
Played On 01/30/2015Course is in excellent shape.
Though not too difficult, this is a very fun course. Lots of interesting holes, fairways and greens in excellent shape, and pace of play on a Friday afternoon was excellent! Enjoyed it thoroughly and look forward to coming back.
Lake Travis Country Club
Played On 01/28/2015Nice Course!
I like the course - not too hard, not too easy, nice views. Fairways and greens in good shape. Nice pace of play until 13th hole; slowed to a crawl. A 5-some in front of me, a 4-some in front of them, and another 4-some on the next hole. Seems everybody on the course were bunched on these 3 holes.
ShadowGlen Golf Club
Played On 03/07/2014Good Course.
First time I'd played since they had closed and reopened. Course looked pretty much the way I remembered it, but in better shape, especially the fairways. It's very different from the courses I play around Austin - wide open, lots of water, thick rough. I liked it - will play again. Pace of front nine was good, but really slowed down on the back; still acceptable (especially on a Friday).
White Wing Golf Club
Played On 9/23/2013Good course but very slow pace.
Great shape, both fairways and greens. Thought it played easier than the 131 slope on the scorecard (blue tees). Enjoyed the course, just too slow - I quit after 9 holes. Outstanding value for the money, however, and I'll play it again another day.
Cowan Creek Golf Course
Played On 6/21/2013Great course; enjoyable to play.
Very nice course, well maintained, both greens and fairways. Nice pace too - was mid afternoon and not crowded, got around in just under 3 1/2 hours ( I was playing as a single). Will play again.
Crystal Falls Golf Course
Played On 6/18/2013Great shape; great views!
Excellent course - challenging, but fun to play. Fairways and greens in excellent shape. Love the elevated par 3s! Loved the pace too - didn't have to wait at all.
Teravista Golf Club
Played On 2/6/2013Great course; enjoyable to play.
Greens are excellent for this time of year - fairways are always good no matter the season. Their brand new carts with up to date GPS are a plus too. Nice driving range and practice putting area. One of my favorite courses!
My only complaint was the slow pace due to the 5-some two holes in front of us. Had to wait every hole until the 10th when one of them dropped out - normal pace the rest of the way. A lot of people play s-l-o-w-l-y anyway, please don't add to the problem with 5-somes!
River Place Country Club
Played On 11/13/2012Beautiful, but difficult!
Excellent course - love the up and down elevations. Greens and fairways are all in excellent shape. High handicappers beware! Bring extra balls! In spite of that, I always try to play here when Golfnow has a deal on the fees. This was an EXCELLENT deal!
Legacy Hills Golf Club
Played On 10/31/2012Beautiful course.
Enjoyed the course; seldom had to wait. Really like the way it's designed - water, rolling hills, etc. Do wonder why the clubhouse insisted on doubling up two singles in the cart - can understand that if the place was crowded, but it wasn't - so what difference? Only other negative is no eating/drinking facilities available, except for vending machines...which barely count!
Mill Creek Golf Club - The Mill Course
Played On 1/6/2012Good for the price.
Only $20 w/ fees on a Sunday! Saw several groups in front of my 3-some and thought it'd be slow, but turned out to be right at 4 hours. Fairways were fine. Greens were fast and grass looked like it was dead - cold weather? - but they putted like they always do, which is tricky. I've played here several times and still find it confusing finding I-35 from the course when I'm done. Overall, a great round of golf considering fees and on a weekend too!
Thank you so much for the 5 Stars! We hope to have you back at Avery Ranch soon!
