I Recommend This Course
An enjoyable course
I've been very surprised by this course, I really didn't know what to expect. The layout can be unsettling at first with some blind or 5 iron tee shots on par 4's, still, I realised I was going to enjoy this course for a long time from the 4th tee. During the season it becomes a shorter course (you can drive most holes) but to compensate, the greens toughen up. Great place if you want to have a challenge and still a few birdies

I Recommend This Course
Favourite course in the region.
I have played it many times in all sorts of conditions. Always a pleasure to play there with high quality fairways and greens, and impressive holes such as 17th. Unfortunately cannot play 9 holes as the 10th tee is far from the club house. Would recommend.

Really! If you can “drive most holes“ on this course as you claim you must be some player!
Realistically the only par 4 that is driveable is the 300yd 1st and thats allowing for dry, windless conditions. 6 of the 10 par 4’s are over 400yds - some significantly so.
The club hosted the Welsh PGA championship in 2016 and other than the aforementioned 1st hole NO ONE drove any of the other par 4’s!
The 2nd is also around 300yds but plays much longer as it is all uphill and is protected by a tricky well bunkered green.
This is not a short easy course.
For the record I play off 4 and am considered longish off the tee.
I agree with your comments regarding the greens in that they can be very slick in the summer.
