shameless promoting of this course

The owners of this course should be ashamed of themselves for promoting itself through the use of names of legends of golf.
The course is in very poor condition from tees to greens. They rope areas of most holes off so you cannot drive a power cart across the dirt that has no grass on it. The tees are scruffy and half and half of sand and grass.
The guy that checked us in at the pro shop had an attitude that suggested that he had better things to do then to look after us. The rest of the staff were generally nice. Until we decided to have a bite to eat the champions grill at 4 pm and were told, " the cook has gone home" by the bartender and then turned his back on us.

We would rate this course about a 2 out of 10 on course condition and friendliness of staff

Great course, however

Great course, in good condition. I was somewhat disappointed that that pro shop did not inform us that it was cart path only.
Had we been informed of that ahead of paying we would not have played. At the age of 72 and my health, walking a course certainly takes away from my enjoyment of the game.
The other thing I noticed was a sticker on the windshield of the power cart, asking that we tee it forward and hit our second shot within 20 seconds. ( I wondered wether or not this might not be a desire of the course to crowd more people onto the course) and at the same time I noticed no carts signs from 50 to 75 yards in front of the greens. Do not, these two things negate one another???? It seems like a case of hurry up and slow down.

I certainly would play the course again, but would also ask a few more questions before paying.

Sorry it was a long day with the cart path only restrictions. The only reason we were on cart paths was of heavy rain overnight. We only made the restrictions after driving the course in the morning so there is no way to give advance notice of a restriction put in place just before your tee time.

Sincerely,
