Everything was very nice at the course, except we were told we paid for a late time and would have to wait for our 1:10 tee time., it was about 12:45. This was not indicated on Golfnow fees. Well, there wasn't anyone teeing off and nobody waiting. Seems ridiculous, to tell us to wait. Very poor customer relations. We saw only a twosome behind us the entire round.

For our 11:50 t-time, finishing our round at 5:30 is way too long. No marshall on course, greens relatively slow. But, best French Fries of any course I have ever played.

Excellent course, staff were super nice and friendly, marshal, was excellent, loved free valet, quite a place to visit and play golf.

My name is Jeff Stern, I am the Assistant General Manager at The Vineyard. Thank you for the feedback. We have worked very hard to get the greens back to the condition we are known for. Our greens are the best greens in North County. Due to the popularity of the golf course, our pace of play is set at approx. 4 1/2 hours. We do have ambassadors roaming the course, and a starter that gets our guests out in a timely manner. We are a busy facility, and try our best to make everyone's experience enjoyable. We have worked very hard to get our greens back in the condition we are known for. The typical pace of play for The Vineyard is approx. 4 1/2 hours. We do have course ambassadors that monitor pace of play, and we have a starter at the 1st Tee to get our guests onto the course in a timely manner. Mr. Kent,
Thank you for joining us at Steele Canyon last week. Despite your round being just over 4.5 hours it sounded like you still had a good time when speaking with you on the phone. Unfortunately on a busy day with only 18 holes open when 1 group falls behind a bit it is difficult to get everyone caught back up, despite our Player Assistant's best efforts. We do pride ourselves with the daily pace of play routinely being 4-4.5 hours or less and monitor it as best we can. We hope to see you out here golfing again soon.
