Redhawk Golf Club
Played On 09/22/2020Challenging, beautiful and refreshing
Had not played Redhawk in quite sometime. The $33 opportunity made it possible. We had a great day, not our best scores but just really enjoyed being our there after so long.
Seven Hills Golf Club
Played On 08/11/2020Seven Hills has become a favorite
We have been playing Seven Hills for a few years but the course is the best ever. We especially like playing when its hot because there are so many beautiful shade trees at the tee boxes. The best of Seven Hills is the people. Everyone is friendly and courteous from the front desk to the golfers out on the course. All courses have increased the fees but Seven Hills remains the most reasonable. Most of the courses we play are up around $60 and higher which beats up our golf budget. The food is good although we miss being able to have a cold drink and sit inside after our round.

We are fairly regular players at Seven Hills. Of course we will be much happiier when the restaurant opens up comletely. Overall the course is doing well considering all the mandates by the government.. They are following the rules and doing a good job as usual.

We love this course because we have always enjoyed friendliness when checking in. This time, however, after checking in a new gentleman told us not to wet our golf towels in the ladies room because he didn't want the dirt from our towels to enter the sewer system. Well, first, our towels were clean and had been laundered at home before arriving at the course. Then when we got to the first tee the bucket of water that the gentleman suggested that we use was filthy. My suggestion: If you want us to use your bucket instead of the ladies room then provide clean water in the buckets. It just seemed a little petty on his part to be concerned about the sewer. Never have experienced this type of rudeness at Seven Hills.
Hemet Golf Club
Played On 04/09/2019Enjoyable Round
We enjoy Hemet Golf Course. The staff is friendly which begins a good feeling before tee off. We like playing a course that is within our budget yet still pleasant and just challenging enough. Now that we have had some rain, the lakes have water in them again and the course is quite attractive.

We always enjoy our day at this course. Number one, the friendly staff makes the day. They are ready to answer questions and send us off with well wishes for a great day on the course. Although the course doesn't have a restaurant I was delighted when I called from hole eight and asked for a turkey sandwich to be ready at the turn. A friendly yes and a sandwich was ready. We continued on with more well wishes for the rest of our day. This friendliness just goes a long way for us in our enjoyment of the game. Even the gardeners out mowing and working on the course offer smiles and greetings. It is just plain and simple..... pleasant!
It is obvious that there is much going on to make improvements on the course. I must say, the fairways are always in pretty good condition, and the golfers seem to try to help take care of the course by fixing divots on the greens. The friendly atmosphere makes us all care.

Hadn't played the course since the reseeding took place. The course is in the best shape I've seen it.
We had a wonderful day.
Eagle Crest Golf Club
Played On 12/12/2017Our new favorite!
The course is beautiful. It is out in the country and is so quiet and serene complete with hawks and other birds soaring overhead. It is obvious that there is much effort to restore the fairways and greens. I've noticed that there has been new sand added to the traps each time we have been there recently as well. It is refreshing to land in a sand trap that has white fluffy sand in it.
The staff is most friendly and pleasant. The course is a bit far from us but the drive is worth it and I look forward to playing there again soon.
Castle Creek Country Club
Played On 12/05/2017Disappointed
We had played recently and noticed that the cart paths were closed and forms for concrete were in place. I was excited to invite friends and show them the face lift that the course was undergoing. To our surprise the cart paths weren't done and the greens were in really bad shape with the fungus spreading to over half of the greens. Fungus was interrupting ball lines in a bad way. We kept questioning why cart paths were still torn up for so many weeks after forming them up. It looks like serious money problems for the course and a poor attempt to fix it. I'd guess it needs an owner to come in and close the course and get it in shape, raise the green fees a bit and move forward. The course is in a sad state.
I have to say, the staff was very friendly and caring as much as possible.

We enjoyed our day in many ways. The weather was perfect. The animals were out on the course and not afraid of us at all. We saw hawks soaring. We saw deer right on the fairways. We saw road runners on the greens. Rabits at dusk enjoying the beautiful green grass. It was animal lovers paradise.
I didn't play my best golf but will be back soon if possible to meet the challenge.
Arrowood Golf Course
Played On 10/24/2017Arrowood has to be one of my favorites. The current heat wave took us away from our usual warmer temperatures to Arrowood which is usualy many degrees cooler. We looked for a tee time that we could afford and even though the fee was $25 more than usual we thought we would go ahead and enjoy a day of golf in a most beautiful setting. We had a great time all the while I was wishing I could play there more. But being in retirement years I cannot come up with the high rates in order to make that happen more than once or twice each year. I wish they would come up with a senior discount schedule that would allow us to be golfing here more often.
Fallbrook Golf Club
Played On 03/10/2016Keep it open
Rumor has it that the course is closing. It is a beautiful setting and with some money and effort this course could attract more players from out of the area. It is a country feel unlike anywhere else. I hope someone that appreciates it's value would want to keep it alive as a golf course.

The afternoon specials are great for me. I'm still learning with balls spraying now and then. I like to go to this course to practice without pressure. Its a laid back feel but with plenty of challenge too.
Diamond Valley Golf Club
Played On 06/24/2014Beginner's Edge
It is great to have specials while I'm just learning to play golf. I like to go out by myself since I do not play well enough "yet" to keep a score. Diamond Valley is great for me since it is the closest course to me. I didn't feel pressure while letting a couple other single golfers go on past me. It took me the first nine to relax in order to focus and really practice but this course is perfect for where I am in this sport. It will also be perfect as I progress. The staff is extremely pleasant and made me feel quite comfortable as a beginner.
