worst part is getting there with Vancouver traffic being what it is. staff friendly and on way quickly. course straight forward. would expect shorter par 3s but great greens

yardage between 90-150, mostly 100ish to smaller greens. Keeps an easy approach for beginners and allows for a short-game tune up for those looking to focus on the 'red zone'

While the rest of the coast was getting deluged, this area sites in a rain shadow so was quiet dry. Excellent greets fast & pure

tree lined course means accuracy trumps distance. the holes aren't overly long anyways, except for a few par 3s. with the stifling heat always walked on the shady side of the fairways

they are working to improve the course since taking over. the rough patches of upgrades in progress don't bother me, as it is future improvements. good warm up round or learning course

Playing near the ocean; able to see the nearby & distant islands; training Top Gun jets doing flyovers = almost forgot I was playing golf! Great day!

playing at the base of the hills; having to be thoughtful about shot selection; great service from staff = cannot be much better than that!

a twosome in front slowed down for twelve holes and a single behind chirping at the heels for six made for a frustrating round. standing on the par3 14th teebox with the hills behind, the hole below, and the entire Strip in front is fantastic!

the day was potential rain and a bit cool, so all the "locals" were huddled inside. the pro shop sent me out early solo and I had the entire course to myself! good course conditions and a few viewpoints of the strip and surround hills and only two holes where I had to put on a rain hat (because I wear glasses)

from reception through to completion, the staff made you feel totally welcome; the conditions were surprisingly well for winter time

It took us until the 15th hole before finally catching up to anyone, so it felt like the course was ours. Since last month there has been some unexplained burnt & dried patches. Overall a good tight course

Aside from the poorish greens and some sad trick shot requirements, I almost got hit twice by AUTOMOBILES on the course. Appears that the frivolities and drunkenness supercede any form of course management or etiquette. I finally gave up after my second attempt of a "tee shot" on ten, as it was easier to just walk away with my mind and life still somewhat intact.

More "ground under repair" has been repaired and the balls are rolling further along the fairway to date. Always a good casual round to be had

Great round of golf. A bit slow at times, but paired with somebody who knew the course. Helped change course strategy on a few holes where could have ended up in (more) trouble.

Great course that challenges your shot-making and placement, but you need to know where these are needed. Some holes do inform you how far to water hazards, which is a bonus. Playing with a local would help. However, it will be better once coming back for a second round.
