Meh

Every green had a billion ball marks on them. Two guys were were paired up with didn't fix one ball mark. Couldn't take a hint when I repaired their ball marks right in front of their faces. Bunkers aren't maintained. Rained last night, you would think they would have crew out early to rake bunkers before play began but that didn't happen. Other golfers didn't rake bunkers either. Just about every bunker that I passed had at least a few foot prints in them. Most bunkers also full of a variety of little pebbles up to full rocks about half the size of golf balls. You also need a sledge hammer to get the ball to roll all they way to the hole on the greens.

Temps were in the 90's and the course did not have any water available on Spruce or Dogwood courses. Place was packed, had a time for 8:16am and didn't tee off until about 8:30am. Through the first six holes there were at least 3 groups on each hole.

Good experience

Golf course was in great shape, can't ask for more on fairway and greens. Pace of play was SLOW. Got stuck behind about a half dozen groups that were part of some men's club and they were clogging up the entire golf course. Backed up from holes 8 through 18. On 12 tee we watched a golfer hit a ball straight into the woods, did not hit a provisional after his five minutes of looking he came back to the tee box to hit a second ball. They lingered on greens and moved with zero sense of urgency. They have also removed blue tees from the course set up. As a single digit one of the reasons I like to play here is the length the course offers. When they remove this set of tees it takes the variety out of the course for me and I wind up only having wedges into par 4 greens. Like the place but prob won't go back. Can go down the road to Rock Hill to play a longer more varied round.

Disrespectful Course Staff

Go spend your money elsewhere. There are multiple other courses in the area where they treat the patrons like human beings. Played here in early August, headed to the range to warm up. I first noticed that there is a huge grass range but for some reason they wanted people to hit off the mats. As I made my way through my bag I realized that there weren't any tees in any of the mats. At this point the two other guys who were on the range had left and it was just me and my playing partner. So I pull out my driver and try to put a wooden tee into the mat, they have the spongy mats and I thought that might work, but this was unsuccessful. So the logical thing to do is to move forward and put the tee into the regular grass. After hitting a few drivers one of the rangers rips up in his golf cart and starts giving me a hard time about using the tee in the grass. In my attempt to explain to him my reasoning he cut me off and began making sarcastic remarks. He referenced other golfers seeing what I was doing and then copying me. At this point I looked down the range and the only customers there were me and my partner. The ranger made another snide comment and watched me put my driver back in my bag before taking off. About fifteen minutes later I was minding my business on the practice green waiting for my group to be called when that same ranger pulled up again. For some reason he felt that it was appropriate to make another snide comment directed toward me asking if I was ok now that I was no longer on the range. The course staff here have been anything but courteous to customers for many years. The golf course isn't anything special when you consider Rock Hill, Pine Hills, MICC, Cherry Creek, Great Rock, Pine Ridge, and Willow Creek. I'd much rather spend my money at a place where they appreciate my patronage.

Amazing Greens

The greens were fast, pure and receptive. Couldn't ask for better greens on the golf course. That being said the fairways could use a little attention. They are redoing several tee boxes. Wish this facility had a practice range. The setup is a little short for my liking maxing out around 6500. Overall not a bad experience.
