Creek/Oaks at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Resort
Played On 09/19/2018...best course in Temecula and arguably the I.E.
Ive been playing TCI 2-4 times per month, probably since 2010. The course is always in pristine condition. Beautiful layout, true-rolling greens, and an awesome practice area.
Even with the diffulty that 'Stonehouse' presents, the course is still a fun challenge.
The one critique I would make regards pace of play later in the afternoon. After about 3p it seems like the course starts to get backed up and pace slows down considerably, which really isn't too bad, because the natural beauty in and around the course is really something to take in and enjoy.
The Links at Summerly
Played On 09/10/2018New ownership has made the difference
I've been playing Summerly for several years. Ever since new ownership took over, the improvements have become more consistent. The layout is absolutely second to none. It really is a treat to play true links golf in Socal.
The course still has a long ways to go. Just about every fairway has spots that are being re-sodded, or need to be re-sodded .The fairway bunkers aren't very well maintained, as there always seems to be a collection of small rocks and pebbles. Typically, tge best part of the course are the par 3s and the areas around the greens. I think the worst things about the course happen to be things we, as golfers, have the most control over; and that is replacing marks and divots.
The greens have always been in good shape (a bit too slow), but it seems they have become rife with ball marks, causing a bit of deterioration over time.
Manegement is doing everything they can to get this course to where it should be. As long as us golfers can take time to do our part, there is no reason why Summerly can't become a premier course in the I.E.
