In the Raleigh area for the holidays and what a present this was, I’ll be sure to find it again mid-summer when the Bermuda is thriving. A hidden gem, in my opinion, a good challenge for the players and probably a great spot for beginners. Terrific December conditions and super-friendly staff made for an enjoyable morning. I had the first tee time of the day and played in 3 hours. No logo balls in the golf shop though, had to settle for a poker cop instead, hopefully, they stock some logo balls because I’ll be back.

Down from Maryland, visiting my in-laws in Raleigh, so I decided to check this place out and I’m glad I did. Rough around the edges and they are quick to admit it but the greens were so good. Fantastic layout, as well, hit every club in the bag. Don’t let the shorter yardage fool you, some solid forced carriers make some holes play longer than advertised. A fair test of golf from the back tees. I hope to make it back mid-summer when the trees have leaves and the Bermuda is booming. The Golf Course Manager, Henry, is an absolute gem! I’d probably still be chatting with him if I didn’t have a wife and baby! South Granville is worth the price of admission!

Roughs were a little dry but everything else was in really good shape. Good mixture of easy and tough holes.
