The Links At Bodega Harbour
Played On 11/10/2020Fun course
It is a bit of a drive to get out there so I only play here occasionally. There are generally two conditions on the North Coast. Foggy, or if it is not foggy, it's windy! Bring layers. Somewhat quirky layout on some of the holes and conditions of the course are on the rough side occasionally. I enjoy the challenge, so I will make the drive again soon.
Hiddenbrooke Golf Club
Played On 06/25/2019Great Arnold Palmer course
Nice pace of play today, done in less than four hours. Always a challenge. If you hit good shots you're rewarded, if you hit bad shots, you'll pay for it. Take some extra balls!

This Arnold Palmer designed course will challenge just about everyone. It has multiple forced carries and lots of hazards that will eat your golf balls if you stray off the fairway. Played from the correct tees it is a very enjoyable course. just know that any lapses in concentration will add some strokes to the score card.
Blue Rock Springs Golf Course - East
Played On 01/14/2018Great muni course!
You would be hard pressed to find a better value in this area. It is not a long course but only golfers that can drive over 260 would notice. The greens crew loves to give hard pin placements on undulating greens so it will add a few strokes unless you're throwing darts at the green. Do not hit in to the bunkers! Most have so much gravel that they are like playing off the sidewalk! Overall though the grounds crew does a great job of keeping the course in great shape with limited funding.
Black Horse at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 06/09/2016Great Monterey course!
For golf in the high season in Monterey this was a pretty good value. Very pleasing to the eye and plenty of challenges on both courses. Restaurant closed at 3:00 pm so eat early!
Yocha Dehe Golf Club at Cache Creek Casino Resort
Played On 03/28/2016Beautiful course!
I can't afford to play this course all the time, but it is worth it every once in a while. A true resort course with all the amenities and very well maintained. It has a number of challenging holes with intimidating views of your next shot. I will play it again.
Paradise Valley Golf Course
Played On 11/12/2015Great, but slow!
This is a really nice course! It was in very good shape with fast true greens - considering they were recently aerated. Only complaint is that we started at 1:05 and could not finish by 5:30... dark, at this time of year. I can see why it is so popular but it was a little too crowded even though it was a weekday.
Eagle Vines Golf Club
Played On 06/09/2015Great layout!
Really pleasing to the eye, taking advantage of the natural terrain and surrounding vineyards. If you hit in to the vineyard you must leave it so you don't have to wait for anyone searching for their balls there! Greens are smooth and dramatically contoured and make you get very creative to save par. Water comes in to play on a lot of the holes, so bring some extra balls!
Mare Island Golf Club
Played On 1/10/2013Challenging, geat views!
Decent shape like Blue Rock. Plays like 2 different course front and back. Bunkers could use a bit more sand but I guess it makes you try to stay out of them! Nice elevation changes with elevated tees and greens that are in nice shape right now. Some of best views of the bay along with the stiff winds to keep you on your toes.
