Skybrook Golf Club
Played On 11/06/2018Like it so much I bought a home here
Having previously been a full member of this course in its heyday (2000-2007) I can attest to the quality of the layout. The course ran into challenges due to a owner who was re-routing profits from this course to cover losses at his 7 other courses at the time.
In 2017 it was taken over by a new management company who has sunk $'s into the grounds and also hired the right people to run it CORRECTLY. The course improvements in 2018 have brought this course back to it's premiere status and I have had the pleasure of playing it about once a month and each time been more and more impressed with the grounds crews efforts. As others have stated, the bunkers have "new" sand and are being raked properly.

Olde Beau Resort & Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2018Great Mountain Tract
The course itself was in GREAT conditions including the greens and the fairways but the cart paths were in extreme disrepair with HUGE holes in the asphalt.
As this is a true mountain course there are a large number of blind shots and deceptive distances so be certain to take some type of electronic measuring device with you.
Thoroughly enjoyed hitting my pitching wedge (normally 120 max) off a 140 yard par 3 and landing it about 2 feet from the pin & Hitting a 300+ yard drive off one of the par 5 tee boxes when my normal drive is about 260 these days
I played this course when it first opened & this was the first chance I had to play it again some 26 years later. The plaque in tribute to Olde Beau is still in place behind the 15th green. We always hit a drive into the river a mile below off the closely mowed rough area there to pay our respects.
