Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
Played On 07/03/2018Great local course
Although there was an advisory for aerated greens, the greens were in good shape and rolled true. Scenic forests and wetlands surround course and even saw a swallowtailed kite on Black Robin. One of my favorite local courses.
Legend Oaks Golf Club
Played On 05/23/2014Greens are horrible
This course has a very nice layout. Fairly challenging, with lots of water, several doglegs and strategically positioned trees. However, the greens were redone a couple of months ago and are still in horrible shape. They are as bumpy as an egg carton.
Holly Hill Golf Club
Played On 04/24/2014Great nine hole country course.
Really nice course in the country, well maintained and not crowded. Had a great time and will recommend it to my friends.
Shadowmoss Plantation Golf Club
Played On 02/25/2014Really nice public shot makers course.
Lots of dog legs, right and left. Very interesting course in good shape.
Patriots Point Golf Links
Played On 01/15/2014Number one must play public course in Charleston
The wide fairways are very forgiving but can be challenging next to marsh and water. The greens are consistently good and roll true. The last three finishing holes are second only to Kiawah's Ocean Course, with number 17 a mandatory polaroid moment.
Tired Creek Golf Course
Played On 11/2/2013Not friendly to Golfnow reservations.
The majority of the staff was very friendly but the head pro checked in our threesome booked through golfnow. His attitude was horrible, treated us like he was doing us a favor to let us play at a reduced rate that we found on golfnow. I won't go back.
Outstanding little country course.
Had always wanted to play this course and sure glad that I did. Greens were as good or better than some of the fancier places around Charleston.
Charleston National Golf Club
Played On 8/6/2013Beautiful Low Country coastal course.
The layout of course with the outstanding scenery as you meander through out the marshlands and woods make this course a must play if you visit the Low Country.
The Club at Pine Forest
Played On 8/1/2013Low Country Parkland
Really fun course. Makes you use most if not all your clubs.
The Club at Pine Forest
Played On 8/1/2013Great low country parkland golf course
Although the area has had above normal rainfall and it was cart path only the course was still in really good shape.
Cypress Point Par-3 Golf Course
Played On 6/19/2013Great place to practice your short game at a great price
Fun par 3 course and the best place to carry a novice or beginning golfer to play their first round. Very laid back, not crowded, staff very friendly.
Santee Cooper Country Club
Played On 6/2/2013Best golf deal in the Charleston area is at Santee
Well worth the drive up from Charleston, to play a really well maintained course without large crowds. Also the GPS in the cart really aids and speeds up play.
Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 4/19/2013Nice golf course full of scenic veiws and wildlife
Great layout, lots of hazzards, requires making shots. The greens were in pretty good shape and rolled good. The fairways were a little weedy but still very playable.
Only negative about the course was with the staff. We were checked in by a nice young man and shown where the putting green and and told to head to the number one tee when we would like. After putting for only a couple of minutes, an older staff person came out and told us to make sure we waited till our tee time to take off. He said they were rather stacked up and wanted to "ensure pace of play" we said OK being our tee time was 50 minutes away. We then proceeded to wait 40 minutes before anybody else teed off. Left a bad taste in our mouth. .
Santee National Golf Club
Played On 4/16/2013Great golf right off the interstate
Excellent layout and the course was in very good condition. Rivaled some of the fancier courses around the Charleston area. Worth driving an hour from Charleston to come play.
Santee National Golf Club
Played On 4/16/2013Great course right off I-95
Being from Charleston I'm fortunate to be able to play a lot of nice courses using golfnow. This course was in as nice of shape as any of the ones I get to play in the Charleston area. Greens not flat, but roll true. The majority of the course is bordered with nice mixed pine/hardwoods and not alot of houses Don't mind driving over an hour to come play again.
Wyboo Golf Club
Played On 4/3/2013Very nice course in excellent shape.
First time playing Wyboo and was very impressed by the layout and condition of the course. The natural landscape bordering the fairways significantly added to the beauty of the course. Nice to not see houses lining every fairway. Highly recommend this course and certainly will play it again.
Lake Marion Golf Course
Played On 3/16/2013Good course layout. with GPS.
Nice course in pretty good shape. Greens looked good. The GPS in the carts certainly aided in playing a better round by giving distances to the greens and hazards, which in turn sped up the pace of play.
Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
Played On 3/13/2013Nice to have three different 9 hole courses to change things up.
There was a small scamble tournament in front of our group which we caught up to. It was a little slow, but not that bad really. However, the starter came and found us. He told us to play Black Robin at the turn, which was closed, so that we didn't have to wait. Very nice gesture.
Charleston Municipal Golf Course
Played On 1/31/2013Country club attitude at the Muni
Typical day at the Muni, grumpy entitled golfers behind and in front us, impatient and expecting to play a round with a course full of 4-somes in 3 hours. Lighten up, its the MUNI.
Legend Oaks Golf Club
Played On 1/10/2013Good course with GPS
Pretty nice course at a reasonale rate. The GPS in the golf carts are really nice and is both an aid to your game and for pace of play.
