Halifax Plantation
Played On 04/27/2020A real disappointment. DO NOT GO!!!
I had not played at Halifax for a few years but used to play there regularly and it has gone downhill significantly. They punched the greens about a week ago but you could still see that even when they come back, they still won't be in good shape...lots of bare spots, black and sandy areas loaded with holes and unevenness.. Also the fairways were loaded with untended grass, which wasn't fairway grass at all, just whatever happened to grow there. And the tee boxes were so bad that you had to find a spot, especially on the par threes that didn't have rough grass clumps that would grab the ball. Really a shame to let a good course go to waste like this.

Played On 02/09/2020Greens uneven
I like this course but the greens were not only uneven but completely void of any grass in many spots. Ball doesn't roll true as there were too many bare patches causing the putt to jump, not roll. I understand this a "muni" course but these greens just need a lot more care.

Played On 07/07/2019Greens not great
Always an interesting course to play but the greens were really bumpy and slow with way too much grass on them. I know this is the way that this muni course chooses to do their maintenance but it makes for an unreliable playing experience once you get to the green. Otherwise, just fine.

Played On 06/10/2019Could only play 1/2 of the course
When a course has just punched the greens on the front nine they should always put up some kind of notice on GolfNow or if you call them they should mention this. Had to play the back nine twice to get in 18.
Palm Harbor Golf Club
Played On 04/07/2019Good, as always
Greens were slow. They've let them grow a bit fuzzy. Otherwise, this course is in good shape, as always...especially for a muni course.
Palm Harbor Golf Club
Played On 02/10/2019Good course
Always enjoy playing here. My only criticism is that not all greens were cut evenly (some shaggy/fuzzy, others close) so putting accurately actually required one to "feel" the greens first.

Played On 02/03/2019It's ba-aaack!!!
Finally this course has returned to good condition after a break of a few years. It's always been an extremely interesting course to play but the condition until recently was pretty bad. Now I'd recommend to all who used to play there.

Always in good shape. Interesting layout w/ variety of challenges that can be met with good choice playing options.
Palm Harbor Golf Club
Played On 03/25/2018A bit disappointed
The greens were bumpy and didn't roll true. Usually that's not the case here. Hopefully they will get them back into good condition.

I've always enjoyed playing here and do it regularly.
Headwaters Public Golf Course
Played On 05/20/2017A pleasant surprise
Usually nine hole courses lack, well, a lot. Headwaters is an interesting layout in good condition, including the greens (a bit unusual for a nine hole course). Lots of opportunities to cut across doglegs present reasonable risk/reward situations.
Overall a very pleasant experience and we shall certainly return upon future visits to MT.
Cimarrone Golf Club
Played On 02/26/2015Patchy greens
Except for the greens, which were uneven with patches of darker, bumpier grasses growing up on each green, the course was in good shape. This led to uneven putting and a rolling putt could become a bouncing putt if it hit of these spots.
