I am a decent golfer and have played many rounds of golf in my lifetime… This course was Horrible …. Normally I don’t post these reviews but having read others that rated it 4 stars, I chose to play it with a buddy. The course was in horrible shape and tee times bunched together to make it even more miserable. tear it down and start over. Don’t waste your time on this overpriced golf course. Pay a few more dollars and go elsewhere.

Liked layout and friendly staff but course shape was not good. Rates have increased too early for the condition of the course. Greens rolled slow and fairways were hard with bare patches and grass has not matured as yet. Tough winter likely attributed to shape.
It was a cold wet winter which delayed the growth on fairways and greens. Another week of warm weather will change all that. We hope you get to play Old South again later in the season.

Only reason for course conditions rating was they are getting ready to overseed so the sprinklers had been turned off for a few days already prior to our play date. The course was pretty dry and greens a bit shaggy as a result but definitely playable…just not it’s usual beauty shape however.

Reception was a bit cold but starter and golf check in personnel were fine. ... this is the second time this week played and same finding

For anyone else reading this, I totally encourage you to read other reviews. Course is in very good shape considering we are at the end of season and it hasn’t rained in some time. Staff is doing an amazing job. Customers tell us daily the course is in the best shape it’s been in for man years. And our prices are near the lowest in town. We also have 8 minute tee times. It’s spring break, we have quite a few vacationing golfers, and it can get slow this time of year, but our rangers are doing the best they can moving players along.
