Seven Hills Golfers Club
Played On 02/21/2020course in severe decline
I had not been to Seven Hills Golfers Club in many years. I use golf now and my partner wanted to return for a change of pace. We were so disappointed. The T boxes either didn't have any grass or weren't mowed. The bunkers weren't cared for and had weeds growing all over. There were fairways with large expanses of dead grass and sand. The greens had weeds, ridges, divots and bumps. All and all they were the worst greens we ever encountered anywhere. Our tee time was at 1058 and the whole clubhouse seemed shut down. I don't know what happened to this place but several years ago it was a bustling and vibrant course. So sad. Don't do it even for free.
Oak Hills Golf Club
Played On 12/10/2019empty course
The pace of play was excellent as we were pretty much the only people there. The parking lot and drive way are filled with pot holes which set the stage for a golf course that lacks care. The fairways were bare and where there was grass it was brown. We were greeted by a coyote sleeping at the first tee. Our cart had no parking brake. We had a nice enough day here mostly because we had the place to ourselves. We have played here before. We come here usually on a whim at the last minute when we want to get out and hit a few balls One thing we don't like is there are always people walking their dogs off leash on this course. It seems that they don't how dangerous this can be for themselves and their pets

Really fair to women. Has senior tees as well. I can reach all greens in regulation. I live in ny and in the winter I can't wait to get down here and play.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 12/06/2013Spectacular golf
Fairways like carpet, well maintained. Open fairways. Beautiful greens. We were the second ones out in the morning behind a single. The course was dew soaked and foggy, but it gave the place a quiet surreal feel. The only negative was the single in front of us never fixed his ball marks. Such a shame on this pristine course, we did the honorable thing and cleaned up after him.
Dunes Golf Club
Played On 12/02/2013Too much money for rough conditions
The greens were reseeded and hadn't been mowed in two weeks, per the one person we saw grooming the whole course. This experience was when a bargain really isn't. The fairways were rough. One third of the greens were gnarly. If someone took proper care of this course it could be spectacular. We loved the open lay out. Their are a very few homes on this course which is a definite plus for Florida. Please. Someone fix up this course. Sorry to say we will not return unless we hear major improvements have been made. It is not worth our dollar. Golf now, you let us down. We should have been told the course was under construction.
We are so sorry for your disappointment. A new management team just reopened this course after it has sat closed for a while and we are working hard to get the conditions back to where they used to be. We will continue to put time, money, and effort into The Dunes and ask that you give us another chance.
Shady Brook Golf & RV
Played On 11/6/2013Cheap golf
Pasture land in an RV park. Greens were rough. Front nine was much more fun than the back. Everyone was nice. The pace of play was good. A little out of the way, but what do you expect for 18 holes itch a cart for eight dollars.
Silverthorn Country Club
Played On 12/8/2012afternoon golf
they fairways were in really good shape, the greens were a little bumpy it seemed that people don't fix their ball marks and the course does not fill in the holes, one green had a large patch area, lots of sand, water comes into play on a few holes, the play was slow for my taste with long waits for the foursome ahead of us to move on, but a ranger came out and told them to pick up the speed of play and we played through them on the next par 3 and things move quite well, we never saw anyone behind us for the rest of the day. The homes are set back nicely and the fairways mostly open, no lost balls. the rough had fluffy dry grass that sometimes held your ball up like you are hitting off a tee, but even when the ball sunk into the grass the grass was light and easy to swing a club through.
Rolling Oaks at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 12/7/2012putting drama
Love this course, it is not quite as beautiful as the pine barrens course but, the undulating greens make for putting drama. We always arrive at the course as a couple, so we were teamed up with another twosome. One of the guys was quite aggressive, cursing and throwing his driver on the first tee, then later having a confrontation with the group ahead. The fairways were wide open, there are no houses on this course. No lost balls. It's all about the golf. Would go back again and again.
Ridge Manor Oaks Golf & Country Club
Played On 11/29/2012course was closed for several years but is coming along
Had the place pretty much to ourselves, the greens were fast and true but they were evened out with sand, this didn't look pretty but made an even putting surface that was better than holes and bumps. the front 9 and some tremendous old oak trees with draping moss. there were houses on the course but not too close. the back nine was the best, no houses, links style but no high grass, pretty waste bunkers. no lost balls during round, this course is coming along after being closed for several years, it is nice to have it back. pretty easy course, gives women a big break. great for couples
Brooksville Country Club
Played On 11/28/20123 spectacular holes on the back nine
played as a twosome, seldom waited before teeing off, the greens were fast. course has many old southern oaks and dramatic old quarry holes. loved it, there was virtually no rough, all balls out of the fairway were completely playable, second time here from new york, will go back again.
