We've played this course many times and it's great. Greens are fantastic but fairways are undergoing some changes (maybe due to excessive rains earlier in the year), but big chunks we're devoid of the usual smooth green fairways. Also, the prices have increased significantly as it cost $98 for a course we used to pay about $36 including cart (separate charge for carts nowadays to the tune of $17 per rider (perhaps due to brand new carts which are very nice). All in all, though, this course is very nice and has always been one of our favorites!

No Marshall for super slow 4 some in front of us.
No amenities, no snack bar, and no refreshments whatsoever at the turn.
Decent fairways, decent greens.

Times in a row, we've played here and it takes Way Too Long to play this short executive course due to so many 5-somes on the course!
4.5-5 hours to finish an executive course? Come on!

This course used to be better managed.

Course is nice, value good...but I cannot for the life of me understand how the marshall could allow a 6-some!!!
A 5-some is bad enough and should never be allowed but a 6-some is completely ridiculous!
The marshall just drove right by it and when he got to us and I tried to complain, he just made a joke and drove on!
Turned a 3-3.5 hour course into a 5 Hour Executive course on a Saturday! *which is plenty busy enough!)
I have been to this course many times and love it but just when I booked it for our out-of-town visitors (from AZ), we had to contend with a SLOW 6-some.
Completely unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!

We've played Westlake Golf course many times before. After splendid rain in early winter, other courses we've played this year are superb...not Westlake. It's never been a big fancy course but we hadn't played since last year and now it seems worse! For one thing, it was aeration time. I understand this necessity but courses should offer deep discounts during these two weeks...(or close the course or at least aerate front 9, then two weeks later, the back 9 so players not are completely shut out and it should be more prominently displayed on GOLFNOW when reserving the tee time! Westlake even placed a flag & cup 10 yards from the actual green on the 10th hole!
It just seems they haven't done much to improve this small course. What a shame! Waste of time & money!

We absolutely love this course. It’s always so green, fairways are flawless as are the greens. Usually a nice breeze from nearby oceanfront. Sometimes in latter part of the day, fog rolls in and temp drops significantly but it’s a fun & gorgeous course nonetheless!
Very highly recommended!

This was by far the worst fairways I have ever played on a GolfNow sponsored course!
The fairways were so bad that 3 holes had alternate tees 125 yards from the hole, effectively removing the entire fairway from play on Par 4 holes.
We will never play this course again.

First time we played here. Challenging course with mostly narrow fairways but surface conditions on several fairways was poor. Dirt or sparse grass areas and mud areas gave many bad lies. Many fairway areas under repair.
Great fast challenging greens.
Could be very nice experience with better fairways.

We played to 87 degree weather when all surrounding areas were over 100 degrees. Nice ocean breeze.
Nice green fairways, lots of bunkers protecting beautiful undulating greens.
Prices better after 12:30pm.
1st tee announcement is a nice touch.
Overall very enjoyable.
