Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Pine Glen
Played On 06/20/2022Not as easy as you think
Pine Glen is challenging because it brings all types of shots out of your bag for a Par 3 course. Greens were in great but they might be getting ready to punch, tiny fuzzy.
We tee'd off at 10:30am on a holiday Monday and didn't see the cart girl until we got 12 about two hours after, so pack a lunch and provisions.

I foresee some great opportunities for San Vincente Golf Club, though the course on the day I played was challenging the conditions of the course are promising, the fairways appeared to be dry and the greens were sprayed green, it will be awesome in wet conditions, and promising for dry conditions, the ball rolls out, the greens are very hilly, very few flat lays which could equate to a frustrating round, but if played as few times will change you as a golfer and how to play the course. All in all the course is promising.
Pala Mesa Resort

I should have known it wasn't going to be a good round when we were already getting crap from the starter. This guy is runner up for a-hole starter of the year. No smile, no sense of humor, and a thorough inspection of the cart, looking for a cooler, alcohol, drinks, sandwiches from outside the course.
Course was punched and $50 was the hot deal discount.
Fairways and tee boxes were in bad shape.
No longer that hidden gem off the 15.

The Vineyard at Escondido

We have been playing up north due to COVID, nice to be back in SD again. I had an expectation that the courses would be in great shape, no one playing, chance to fix everything you can while the course is closed, but no, looks like no work was done, and it looks like they still have a lot to do to bring it back up to my standards and meet the price demand.
Creekside Golf Course

Made my way up to Modesto to visit family, wanted to play golf and was able to book this well seasoned course for $35. Uncle and I had a great time and shared a few memories.
All in all it was a great experience.
Carlton Oaks Lodge & Country Club

We had a great time but found a couple dead spots on the course. Our assumption was after the rain the course would be in great shape, unfortunately not so.
Golf Now also screwed up our time as the tee time I reserved and prepaid for was not listed in there system, so Carlton Oaks had to bend over backwards in order to get us out.
Mt. Woodson Golf Club

It was a perfect day for golf, we had a great time, paid $50 which matched the course perfectly, anymore than that and i would question the conditions per price. BTW, the green and in great shape and soft, i played here when the course first opened and the greens were super fast and hard on landing, now they are receptive and roll true.
It's a four in my book and if the price is right i'll play it again.
