I love the course but for the price there is attention to some detail lacking. Some tee markers were reversed, parts of the course that were very wet should of been appropriately marked. Worst of all is no rangers on the course to keep an eye on pace of play. Starter allowed 5 ball to play between groups when the course was busy. Man in the pro shop was rude and told me, you have no choice as a single but to be placed in a 4 ball. I get that and totally understand except I stood there and watched to 2 balls go out 2 groups before me. There was no reason to have to play a 5 hour and 15 minute round. I will definitely come play again as I live local but pay some attention to the important details.

The people in the pro shop were awesome, Mike the starter made my day worth the trip. He could not of been more accommodating. Track is in excellent condition. #5 still a temporary green and a bunch of construction on the front side but it did not take away from a great course and awesome treatment by the staff. It also helps that local residents can play it right now for a great rate.

It’s sad that some people that come out and play the course are too lazy to rake traps, fill in divots, and repair greens. I actually saw Mike the starter out on the course following behind some lazy people and fixing their divots.

I live local and play Red Tail at least 3 times a month. I love the course and the layout.

My disappointment is when your website and your people do not communicate when greens have been punched and sanded. I understand maintenance must be done during the year but I believe you should let your customers know ahead of time. We played this past Saturday morning and only saw a beverage cart once.

No starter on the weekends??? Makes for early morning confusion.

Greens are rolling the best all year. The layout is fun and challenging. Best part about SBW is the friendliness of the entire staff. They appreciate your business and always welcome you back. Awesome value for what you pay.

I would definitely recommend to anyone reading this review. SBW is a MUST PLAY!!

Staff was awesome and the layout is both fun and challenging. Definitely Need to play again after seeing it once. We had a great time and are considering a membership. I hope the conditions remain consistent.

All you need to do is read all of your reviews. The course is really nice, the greens are some of the best I have played on all year, the staff is friendly. The big problem is usually no starter during the week and the pace of play is very slow. I have played here at least once a month for a while now and it’s atill the same. I love the course, it’s close to home which is even better. If you want to remain competitive and relevant, do something about the pace of play and see if a cart girl can come by more than once per round.

Can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff. I came as a single and the starter ( can’t remember his name) apologized for my time changing, went in and got me a bucket of balls to hit, and then went out of his way to get me off earlier than my actual time. Had a great round and played in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Fun track and course conditions have improved. Greens roll real nice.

I have played Red Tail many times over the last 5 or 6 years as an Orlando resident but I have never seen it in better condition than right now. Immaculatefairways and tee boxes. The best greens I have played on all year and I play a lot of courses in and around the area. I will be back.

It would be nice if they had a starter during the week.

I live locally and have not played here for about 4 years. Course conditions used to be very inconsistent and value wasn’t there. Based on what I experienced this week, that’s not the case anymore. Course is in outstanding shape and the staff very accommodating. The only complaint is could use a starter when it’s busy mid to late morning. Makes things a little less confusing for singles that come out to play. I will definitely put Red Tail back on my regular list of courses to play. I really enjoyed my round and the guys I ended up hooking up with.

My first time back to Black Bear in several years. Course is fun to play but used to experience very inconsistent course conditions. Not this time! Track is in very good condition and greens rolled very nice. I live close by and will make this a regular stop.

Only complaint is that I had a tee time and 2 groups that had no tee time were put in front of us. That’s not right. The starter ( don’t remember his name) was very nice though and apologetic.

Get some decent range balls for your customers to hit instead of the old ones you pull from the water around the course.

The course layout is fun. Greens rolled fairly smooth but extremely slow. Amenities leave a lot to be desired. It's obvious they are light on help around the course.

Overall a fun track as long as it stays in decent shape and the pricing for Orlando residents stays reasonable.

First time playing this course and I must say I was VERY IMPRESSED! The staff knew right away it was my first time there and they rolled out the red carpet. The experience was amazing, the staff and starter were super friendly.

The golf course is in outstanding condition. Greens rolled true, fairways and tee boxes were sharp and the layout is fun to play. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely join this club if I did. I enjoyed it that much. Thanks for the hospitality Laurie and a great experience.
