Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/06/2020Always good
Group of a dozen seniors, we play here about once every five weeks. Course is in surprisingly good shape for the amount of play.it gets. A few bare spots on some of the fairways and the tee boxes are a little bumpy. Greens had been punched and were very firm. Rough was 2-3 inches long. Flat course and easy to walk. Water on one hole, fairways are generally wide and flat.

Played On 12/28/2012Tees and greens good, fairways pretty soggy
Pro shop staff very friendly, got us out on time on a busy Friday. Tee boxes and greens are in good shape, fairways pretty mushy from yesterday's rain, cart path only on many holes. Threesome in front of our foursome very slow and we waited on every tee. Not a marshal in sight and no drink cart to ease the pain. Five hour round left us finishing after sundown.
Oso Creek Golf Course
Played On 12/5/2012Course is in good shape
The course has benefited from the recent rains and lower temperatures...less play, more grass. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all in good shape.
Played single for first seven holes, twosome for next five, and single again for remainder and finished in just under three hours.
Only complaint is that group ahead was walking...strolling, actually...with an open hole ahead of them. Course marshal was either ineffective or unobservant.
But with a great online greens fee deal, I didn't care.
David L. Baker Memorial Golf
Played On 11/07/2012Short game practice
Tee boxes being re-seeded and all tees moved forward. Longest par 4 was 225 yards, shorted par 3 was 57 yards. Fairways also being re-conditioned, cart access restricted. Greens in good shape, kinda slow and as bumpy as usual. But at $13 a great value and good short game practice round.
Fullerton Golf Course
Played On 10/23/2012If only I'd played better...
Arrived at 11:15 for an 11:52 tee time. No one on the tee so I went out single. Foursome in front of me playing best ball, no one behind me. Finished in 3-1/2 hours playing two balls.
Tee boxes needed mowing and a bit uneven. Fairways in pretty decent shape with some bare spots. Greens very firm and lots of ball marks. Traps were in good shape.
Short course, some odd holes with restricted tee shots, a few hills and valleys to make it interesting.
