Very disappointed about the fact that they saw fit to charge $18 for my wife accompanying me as a rider. This would be fully understandable at peak times, but the course was exceptionally quiet, and the charge was unnecessary. It felt as if I was being penalised for booking through golfnow.com.

I have played this course many times and it is always a challenge for a 19 handicap golfer ! We played off the blue tees, which is just over 6200 yards and is long enough given the amount of water on the course. The course forces you to think, but can also sucker you into going for it, which probed to be my downfall yesterday ! Played the front nine to handicap, and then got overly confident resulting in six shots being dropped to handicap on the back nine.

From the greeting as we pulled up outside the club house to the service in the bar afterwards, this was a five star golfing experience from start to finish.
The course is a challenge, and the greens must not be taken for granted. They appear somewhat benign, but they are anything but, and concentration needs to be fully maintained to avoid dropping very cheap shots. On the day, they cost me dearly !
