After all the hype over the last 10 years, I finally managed to snag a single at Desert Willow. While it wasn't Firecliff, the most challenging of the 2 courses I loved the layout of Mountain View. Mostly generous fairways but with lots of potential trouble, were in beautiful condition with the first cut of rough giving som challenge. The greens are nicely located in tighter spaces with lots of bunkering making approach shots interesting. I was a bit disappointed with the greens that were a bit choppy. Overall, I liked the experience and would definitely go back.

It sure looks like someone moved a lot of sand to build Desert Falls. It is the most contoured course I have played in the Palm Desert area. And big open fairways - couldn't afford that today - made for a fun round. I found the rough a bit brutal for a resort course - we spent too much time looking for balls that were just feet off the fairway. However, this probably says something about my game I don't want to hear. I would recommend this course.

I have played this course at Mission Hills several times over the years and have always enjoyed it. It is a great resort course with lots of room but many challenges and some very pretty holes. The conditions were great, with beautiful fairways and quick, true greens. We were the second group off and played the round in an amazing 3 hours and 15 minutes to beat the scorching heat. Would recommend this course if you want a good round without frustrating yourself to death.

This was my first time at PGA West although I have seen the courses on TV. We chose the Nicklas course which was way better than we had hoped. Even driving in to the clubhouse was beautiful. Service was outstanding and the amenities were fabulous. The course was amazing, pleasing and straight-forward to the eye but requiring a keen eye and knowledge of your game to negotiate successfully. A great challenge as well as a beautiful setting. Highly rwcommend.

Not the most difficultcourse in the desert but definitely one I enjoy playing. The fairways were great and the greens were fabulous, receptuve and beautiful to putt on. Pace of play was grreat. A touch expensive but you can't argue with a full golf course.

I played the Valley course three weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was in great condition and the pace of play was good. Today, everything was good except for the greens. Something has happened over the last three weeks as the greens would not take an approach shot, were terribly slow and putts would not hold their line. I like this course so was terribly disappointed. Will think twice before going back. Too Bad!

It has been three years since I played the Gary Player Course and it was as good as I remember. Reception wss great and the pracice facility was expansive. We teed off right on time and finished the round in just over 4 hours. Tees, fairways and greens were beautiful although the greens were slower than other Valley courses. However they held the ball and putt true. I thought the round was a little pricey but it is March and all golf in the Palm Spings area is pricey now. I would recommend this course.

The Pete Dye layout did not disappoint. Lots of rolling fairways and rough and lots of sand made for an interesting day. The weather was bit cool for Palm Desert in February but the fairways were firm and what we lost in the air, was made up for on the ground. We were a little disappointed in the speed and consistency of the greens but they kept us honest. Pace of play was 4hrs 20 minutes, not bad for a busy resort course. Overall, we had a great day, especially because of my two birdies and the fact I beat my buddy.

There aren't many resort style courses where you can play a round on a well manicured, interesting layout course with lots of sand and water in four hours. The Valley Course at the JW Marriott Resort was all of these things. Really enjoyed the round.

We have played this course before and have enjoyed the layout and great conditions. This time was no exception. Fairways and greens were some of the best we have played in the desert this year. And if you ate looking for a great instructor call David Cahill, PGA Master Instructor who teaches at the range.

My wife and I played Shadow Mountain for the first time. We were looking for a local executive course where we could get around in a reasonable time and which included a good test of golf, especially approach shots. Shadow Mountain was perfect. It was in great shape - especially the greens - and the pace of play was really good (3:15). We were a bit disappointed that there wasn't a friendly café/bar where we could get a post game beverage but fortunately, El Paseo Drive is just a couple of blocks away. We would certainly to back.

My wife - a new player - a friend and I played the Pebble course as an opener for her after almost a year without swinging a club. We all really enjoyed the day. It was perfect for my wife and a great iron practice round for me. The course conditions were excellent and the weather perfect. All in all a fun day.
