Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
Played On 03/09/2018Great Value, layout and conditions
The staff were very hospitable from pro shop to starter. The course was in good shape, doglegs, layups and water made it challenging, but fun. Pretty course.
Played Round Robin on the back. - same conditions and fun to play.
Crooked Oaks at Seabrook Island Resort
Played On 03/08/2018Prettiest Course ever played
This course was the prettiest course we ever played. Very challenging, greens very fast, but fair. Not alot of breaks on the greens, but speed is the issue. It helped to have the GPS in the cart to see what we were hitting into. Great layout, southern charm. Clubhouse staff and starter were very friendly. Private course conditions.
Shadowmoss Plantation Golf Club
Played On 03/07/2018Great Layout - fun course
This course has a challenging but fair layout, plenty of doglegs and water. Tee boxes could use some maturity. Early in the season so maintenance was minimal. Pro shop and club house friendly. Foursome played in 4 hours, needed to allow time due to not being familiar with the course. Would play again if in the area.
Ledges Golf Club
Played On 09/13/2014One of the nicest public courses
We were 2 4somes and to a man, we thought it was one of the better courses that we have played. It is very picturesque. If you are having a tough day, you can still enjoy the course. The greens are challenging, be below the hole, several two tiered greens. Greens, tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. Alot of interesting holes, blind shots, up hill, bunkers in play on all holes, 90 degree dog legs. It helps to know the course. Can't beat the price for this course. We plan a fall weekend trip annually and this course is a must return for everyone. Walking would be tough for the course because of the distance between some holes. The one downside, it would be good if the snack bar/ clubhouse has some breakfast foods, at least some muffins or similar.
Sandhill Crane Golf Club - Championship Golf Course
Played On 04/16/2014Good course, picturesque, greens are in good shape
The course was in good shape, the greens were quick and playable. I enjoy the course because it gives you a little bit of everything. Very picturesque with the swamp land and wildlife. 16 is very interesting. We saw an alligator on fifth hole, alligator alley. I will play this course again if in the area. The multiple sets of tee boxes is very good. Played in 3/12 hours with a 12 tee time with a 4some. We would have been faster but got held up with group in front of us. Fun course.
The Golf Club of Jupiter
Played On 04/15/2014nice course quick play in the am.
I liked this course. The greens are in good shape. Course is short. Good course for rusty player. 2some and we played in 3 hours early am. The price could be a little lower for comparable courses but reasonable. If you are a long hitter it may be the course for you.
West Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 04/14/2014Too many waste areas - they call them traps - but not
This course ahs a ton of waste areas - although they refer to them as large traps - not. The price was right but i would not return. Not fun being in the sand half the day. The course is not aestically pleasing which helps when the game is going well. I wouldn't return wven at the discounted price.
Greens were in good shape. Multiple tee boxes.
The New England Country Club
Played On 8/30/2013The course condtion was higher than maintained. The greens were in very good shape.
New England is a good track that is maintained well. The greens and fairways were in very good condition. The GPS on the carts makes it to play especially with the layups. The staff are friendly. The pace of play was good, 4:10.
Maplegate Country Club
Played On 8/10/2013Greens were rock hard and sandy, fairways were burnt, tee boxes were dirt and crab grass. Nice course, but maintanence is non existent.
Greens were rock hard and sandy, fairways were burnt, tee boxes were dirt and crab grass. Nice course, but maintanence is non existent. Good layout, a few too many layups for me. Nor worth it right now even with a hot deal.
Sandhill Crane Golf Club - Championship Golf Course
Played On 1/23/2013Nice course, interesting holes
This course was better than I expected. It had some very interesting layouts of some holes, especially 15. I would return and the price is reasonable. Some holes are tight. It is a very good municipal course. I still have to get use to the courses in the south because i play in the NE and they are completly different. It is great to have the GPS on the carts especially if you are not familiar with the course. We were a 2some and we could have finished in 3 hours. We palyed early morning.
Sandhill Crane Golf Club - Championship Golf Course
Played On 1/22/2012Fast, undulated greens, and large bunkers.
I have never played on a course that the greens 1 -18 were so difficult. Very fast and undulated. One of the other players stated that the greens looked like burial plots. The layout of the course was reasonable except for some of the huge bunkers. The price was a little high for a non-resident but i would return, Very well maintained. i liked the fact that you could use your driver on most holes. I do have to get use to the course and grass because they are different from those in the Northeast.
Hi walpole13,
We are so glad you came out and played the course. We love to hear that the course was challenging and fair.
We hope to see you back soon!
Best Wishes,
