Club 91 Golf Course
Played On 05/01/2019Shot a 91 at Club 91
First. The weather this year has been terrible, so I just went up on a day the wind wasn't blowing 30mph. It was cold. I was the only one on the course. I used my Big Red Golf Tours book so it was only 20 bucks for 18 and a cart.
The course was in great shape. The course plays 3200 plus from the back tees. I play middle first 9 and back second nine. It is a fun course. You can end up playing from a lot of uneven lies unless you play your shots correctly. Water come into play on 2 and 4.
The person working that day was very friendly, and explained the course well before I teed off.
I didn't use the clubhouse, but it seemed like a nice place to have a beer after the round.
I will play this course some time when its not so crappy out.
I would recommend it to you.

I golfed this course on a Wednesday morning. I used my Big Red Golf tours book so I only had to pay the $20 cart fee for 18.
Weather was perfect and I was the first one there at 8. Nice driving range. I went off at 845. There was one guy in front of me but I never was an issue. By the time I hit the back nine I could see most of the front was fairly busy.
The course was in excellent condition, (I think one green has a spot toward the edge), The greens ran medium, but very true -- not a lot of contour. Except for #11.
The course has some bunkers and water comes in to play on 4 and 9, but not too bad. I played from the whites, and found it to be a fair challenge.
I used a cart, but this course would be easy to walk.

I played this course as a guest. I found the staff on and off the course to be very friendly and helpful.
I am not from Az and as such, i had not played in several months. My host was kind enough to have our group play off the Greens which measure 6300 plus.
This course is not for bombers, I only used driver on 3 and 16. The greens are smallish and have plenty of character, so making sure your second shot positions you to score is critical.
Since I hadn't played much, it took awhile to get the putter working. I found the speed of the greens to be fast but fair.
I liked the course and the people.

Looking for a quick round and came across this 9 hole course. Very pleasantly surprised. Classic small town course. Green fees are paid on the honor system. $15 for 9, $20 to play all day. Same for cart. Rental carts are hardwired, so you just went in the shed and you were on your way.
The course can play 3700 yards if you want to, so don't think it can't provide a challenge. It was in excellent shape. They have gotten plenty of rain in the area so the greens were tremendous. Keep it in the fairway. The rough was not terrible, but if you went there it was tough.
Par fives are sharp dog legs and you may be temped to cut corners but beware the trees.
You are allowed to take your own beer on the course.
This is an excellent example of a community course that the community cares about.

Played On 06/30/2018Early morning round
I hit the course this morning before the course opened. Pretty straight forward, well maintained course. Most of the greens are elevated, which provides a few challenges. Several have good back to front slant, so overshooting the green is a penalty. Number 5(?) Has a creek running across the fairway at about 50-60 yards in front of the green that you need to watch be aware of. Paid 16 for 9 walking on a Saturday.

Played On 06/22/2018Wow
We played a scramble as the guest of a vendor. Wow is all I can say. This was the first time I played this course in several years and it was in fantastic shape. Every green was in excellent shape. Medium fast with some break on many greens. Fairways were in excellent shape. For all the traffic this course gets, the staff does an excellent job in maintaining the track.
I'm really looking forward to playing this again very soon.
Steeple View Golf Course
Played On 06/16/2018Small town. Very nice course.
Golfed this with a buddy on a windy day. We played the front from the whites and the back from the blues. It really changed the way you played the course. Fairways were in great shape, the greens were fast and true, but the excessive heat in this are has caused a few to show some stress. The course is different from a lot of small town courses, almost all holes had a dogleg left or right. The view of the church on #9 is pretty cool.
My one gripe is a sign on #3 that says golfers are responsible for damages to the houses that line the hole. Really a crock. The course was there before the house.
Van Berg Golf Course
Played On 06/02/2018Great value. Take your kids here.
I've played this course several times this summer. It's the best value in the area. Kids under 15 play for free. It will s a real straight forward Muni course, but for the traffic, it's in surprisingly good shape. 6 is a tough hole. It also provides foot golf if your youngsters get itchy. They have carts, but you should really walk this course.

Had a chance to play 18 there recently. Finally a nice day in this spring. Course was very impressive. Greens have some contour, but rolled very true. Evil evil course Super, put the pins in some very difficult spots, and i think that was to give the course some defense while the rough grows up. Plenty of risk from trees, water and sand once you get over the canal.
Four different tees to hit from, so pick the ones that suit your game.
We rode, but plenty of people were walking the course. Its over 7k from the tips so its a long walk.
Very nice clubhouse attendants.
Really recommend this course.
Springfield Oaks Golf Course
Played On 09/30/2017Great County Course
A very well maintained course course that provides a good mix of challenges and holes to score on. Greens were in great shape even though this course gets a ton of play. We played on a Friday in the morning and we were really stacked up. Outstanding value for the money. 15 is a short little par that provides target practice. I liked it.
Brentwood Golf Club & Banquet Center
Played On 09/29/2017Best value ever.
Really nice course at a great price. $24 with cart on a Friday. Keep it straight on the front. There is a little water on the front, but not much else. Fairways were in outstanding shape. It seems like no one fixes ball marks, but otherwise the greens were medium fast and very true. The back is very open, and you can let the big dog hunt. It is the right length for me, so I really liked this course. It is a development course so you do have to cross the street a couple of times to get to your tee box.
Really recommend this course.
Toad Valley Golf Course
Played On 09/09/2017Needs some rain.
I played this course over two days as part of an organized event. The course is nice enough, but the fairways are either not or lightly water. You would get roll, but mostly the ball would kick around irregularity, often into trees. Greens were very difficult to stay on. Many had fungus problems and the fairways were spotty.
Nice facility and we played 18 both days with cart for a total of $75. The staff was very friendly.
Pioneers Golf Course
Played On 09/02/2017Really nice course
This course is in great shape. They have had a mild August and plenty of rain, so the greens were outstanding. The layout does not require a lot of decisions so if you keep it in the fairway you can score. The #4 is over water, which is about it for hazards. There were a ton of people playing, but it didn't seem crowded.
I really was impressed with how clean and well maintained this course was.
I will play again.
Thornridge Golf Course
Played On 09/01/2017Wow. Don't miss this one.
This course will make you golf. I walked and was glad I did. It's a beautiful course that requires the player to know how far they actually hit, versus think they hit. Laying up to the wrong yardage will be a penalty.
The 9th is a great hole that requires two decisions.
I walked 9 for 14 bucks.
Five By Eighty Country Club
Played On 08/12/2017Interstate friendly
Hit this thing first thing on a Saturday. Open at 7. It's not a difficult layout, but it does provide some fun. #2 requires a carry over water, to the right is a field and to the left is hard pan. The greens were in decent shape and fast. The fairways were very hard, good drives in the middle were rewarded with some extra roll.
I rented a cart, but wished I had walked it.
The noise from the interstate is constant, but there is plenty of foliage, so you don't see it. The course sits East and west, so half the time in early morning or later afternoon, you will be looking right in the sun.
I give the course good marks for easy access and greens quality

I play this course once a year. In the last year, the owners have made great strides, but still need a little work on the front. This course is 10 miles North of Kearney, so it doesn't get all the traffic in town courses get, that make s the pace outstanding. It is a really nice layout. The front has three holes I really like. Stay left on #5 I try to go driver short iron on #7, otherwise I'm hitting a downhill lie. #8 plays over a creek and plays long. The back is even a nicer layout. #10 has a well guarded green and makes you make a decision. If you go for it in two, you could be in real trouble. #15 is a LONG par 5, with some opportunity. There are some very difficult roughs, that make you keep it in the fairway, so sloppy play is penalized.
I really like the course. The people are really nice and the value for the layout is very good.
Quail Run Country Club
Played On 07/08/2017Nice morning for 9
Got up early and went in for an early round. The club house was open at 7. This course is easy on the eyes. Although it is only 9 there are 3 sets of tees, so another round would be no problem. Some of the trees are still immature so the course can be overpowered by big hitters, but for the recreational golfer, this is a great course to play. The greens were in great shape and rolled true. My only complaint was that the rough had recently gotten mowed and it looked like it needed baled. $17 for nine and a cart during the week.
Calamus Golf Course
Played On 07/03/2017Sandhills surprise
Loved this place. Nice little nine, camping, fun weekend, it all comes together. The elevated green on three and the pond in 6 are memorable holes. It's dry, if you were not in the fairway, it's your fault. Good mix of attainable and challenges. Would recommend.
Buffalo Ridge Golf Course
Played On 06/23/2017Nine holes
I played. this on a Friday with the wind blowing about 35 out of the NW. Buffalo is a straight forward flat track that depends on wind to protect it. Very basic. A couple of sand traps. Most holes are separated by pine trees. The day I played, there were a number of locals looking for an inexpensive game. It was well mowed, but most of the greens had a lot of brown around the edges. There are 2 18 hole courses in town, so this course is set up for beginners and guys looking for a bargin. They open at 8 and not a minute before.
Loup City Golf Club
Played On 06/17/2017Outstanding course in the Polish Capital
Played there with three friends on a Saturday morning. We basically owned the course. A few more people came out after lunch, but still the pace was outstanding. The course is in great shape, the greens rolled great and the fairways were outstanding. The course can be scored on, but there are plenty of trees to penalize a person for wayward tee shots. 5, 6, 7 run along an out a creek so don't be a fader. Best of all, you can take a cooler on the course. I loved the course.
