I love this old course and it deserves to be restored. Greens are good but slow.

Conditions reflect cutbacks on expenses. I still love the course and being in the desert. I just adjusted to the dry summer fairways and greens. I hope they’ll restore the course to a better level of conditions in the Fall.

Staff is great. Got me out swiftly. Like the layout and will come back.
Course conditions are terrific except for the greens which are recovering.

I was first out. I wan’t ready as I didn’t have any time to warm up. But, it was my choice as I had a later tee time. No fault there. However, they do not have a fully operational driving range. You have to bring and shag your own balls. Never saw that before. Nevertheless, I had many laughs at my game while this beautiful track wowed me over and over.

I could play this course over and over and not be bored. Will play again in the next seven days before I head home to California. If it was in Orange County,
Ca, it would be my home course.

The greens were very challenging, fast and “interesting”. I was intimidated until after 5 holes when I got my confidence back.

Fairways and greens excellent condition. Challenges on every hole. The greens were fast today and tricky.
Staff made check in smooth. I played here at least 5 years ago. Now I am a better player and will make this course part of my regular rotation.

Challenging but fun course. magnificent location overlooking east and north LA couny. Condiions are excellent, especially the greens which were tricky. Some pin placements were risk/reward. Too fast and you will see your ball run another five to fifteen feet. I am definitely returning because I'll shave 5 to 6 strokes off my score from having more knowledge about those greens.

First time playing this track. It was challenging for me but I had fun. It's a good course for intermediate and advanced players, but may be too challenging for the beginner. It is a long walk to the 10th hole. A cart is highly recommended.

After teeing off at 2pm, we hit the 3rd tee box and there were two other groups waiting to tee off. It remained that way until the 8th hole. Group ahead of us waved for us to tee off on the par 3 7th. As we teed off on the 9th, after getting into trouble on the 8th, the group ahead of us were already on the green and moving on. the Marshall came up and yammered away as one of us teed up to hit, interfering with his play.
The marshal was rude saying, "you're taking two minutes to hit away," as he was teeing up.
It was 5:30pm at the 9th green, 3.5 hours!! I went home. I like the course but not the pace of play and the marshall's behavior. Whose fault is it?

Greens were great. My partners were amazed that they were so good considering the volume of golfers each day. It was their first time here. I have not seen greens any better in Orange County.

I am coming back to this track. Great conditions and can be challenging. Watch the slopes. I played on a cloudy day so I missed that these greens could be way faster on a sunny day. Required a lot of strategy for me to play each hole to my abilities.

fourth time playing here, always early morning in the summer. It has a better track than most, interesting layout and demands accuracy. love the absence of houses.

For a high handicapper like me, this course offers the opportunity to score better than usual. There are some challenges, but when I played smart golf, I boggied or even parred. I will definitely return this month and, later, bring my son to play this beginner friendly layout.

There are some surprises, like the 18th having a well protected green with huge bunkers surrounding the front side. The 14th hole intimidated all of us; a difficult fairway to negotiate with water near the left front of green. Greens were a bit slow today (Monday); we called them Velcro greens. Once adjustments were made by us, we eventually got the speed right. pace of play was excellent. Staff was very helpful and the warm-up facility was hassle free.

7 am start time, out by 11am. Except for a couple of greens, the other greens were in fine condition. Had a good game for a 20 handicapper; keeping the ball in play is always helpful. I liked the setting and the complete practice areas. Living in OC the drive in was easy, and the drive home at noon, no traffic as well.
