Played On 07/10/2021Great value
Only $60 walking on a wknd. Can't do much better than that on a wknd. Lots of blind tee shots, but some pretty holes. Greens were slow, but seemed to be in pretty good condition. No goofy holes. Par 76, so lots of par 5's, which I like, and all are reachable for the longer hitters.
Club at Bond Head - North
Played On 04/04/2021Not bad
The bad: Greens were a bit bumpy and slow, but it's early in the season. Carts didn't have water in the ball/club cleaner. Signage was poor throughout the course. A couple pretty goofy holes with outrageous elevation changes and no landing areas. Sand was muddy. Some bunkers were filled with rocks. Some greens were unreasonably narrow considering how elevated they were. One of our groups' carts died.
The good: Not too much fescue. Pretty decent-sized fairways. Fairway condition was good. Tall pins so you could see them, and they were colour coded. Starters were friendly and helpful. Pace of play was quick. Some beautiful vistas.
I can only give this 3 stars because I hate goofy holes, and no water in the cart club cleaner is just lack of attention to detail.
Hi Mr.pantsuit.
Thanks for taking the time to review your recent round.
We appreciate the feedback and have passed it along to our operations manager. Based on your feedback, I certainly recommend you try the South Course as it may be better suited based on a few of your course configuration comments.
Either way, we hope we can host you again for more rounds this golf season.
Hidden Lake Golf Club - New Course
Played On 10/17/2020Very nice
No goofy holes. Plenty of length from the back tees. Lots of room to hit the driver. No wildly interesting holes, but it's not boring either.

Played On 09/13/2020Nice course
A couple goofy holes (like 18), but overall a decent layout. It's open enough that you can pull the driver out a few times, but there are some really tight holes. Greens were nice enough, w/o excessive slopes. Some pretty holes as well. A bit overpriced, but no outrageously so.
Dragon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 07/18/2020Nice course
It's a pretty course, especially for the cost, which I believe is cheaper those more towards Toronto. Teeboxes, fairways and greens are all in descent shape. Enough elevation changes to make it interesting and scenic, but not so much that it makes it hard to walk. No gimmicky holes. No unreasonably narrow holes. Lots of tee boxes.
Granite Ridge Golf Club - Cobalt
Played On 06/25/2020Good and bad
Course layout is average; not particularly interesting/memorable. Tee boxes level. Greens actually quite lovely; soft and true. No fringe, though, so you can't putt from just off the green.
They turned the sprinklers on in the evening even while there was still 30 min serviceable daylight left, and my playing partner said they always do that. To add insult to injury, the marshal came around told us rudely to "pack it in" since the sprinklers were coming on. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth as you drive away, unlikely to come back.
Indian Wells Golf Club

Great views with many elevation changes. Some holes way too narrow. One hole kind of gimicky; tee off with 4 iron, 90 deg dogleg left up a steep hill to the green. Interesting holes with water hazards, one having to cross water twice. Fairway grass was long. Tee boxes could have been more level, but I've seen worse. Greens were quite slow, and not quite true, but again I've seen worse. Overall a decent public course with great views. I'd play it again.
Thanks for your comments. We pride ourselves on course conditions and particularly our greens which have softened and slowed with all the recent rain. Pls visit us again and we're sure you'll find faster greens.
