The Loma Club

We play Loma Club quite often. This past round the greens have been aerated and were in very rough shape. It will take a while before they have healed. Normally the greens are great and fast

Coyote Trails Golf Course

While on vacation in Arizona, we wanted to play some golf along with our other activities. Golf not being a priority. Found this course on line. It's a 9 hole track that you play twice. Beautiful setting among the cottonwood tress. The staff were so nice.
De Anza Country Club

My wife and I were scheduled to play the course on Saturday at 11:52. The day before our tee time, we received a call from a gentleman from De Anza informing us that there was a tournament that day and we would not be able to play. He offered to schedule us for another day. Because of our schedule, we were not able to take him up on his offer. I have no issue with the golf course but their communication with Golf Now was lacking. I should not have be able to book that time, as I did on line. We had to make last minute plans to play another course in the area, which wasn't easy at such short notice and the fact, there are only three golf courses in the valley, and would cost much more that the posted rate. We ended up paying twice as much for our golf as a result.
Not happy about it
Friars/Presidio at Riverwalk Golf Club

We played on a Monday. The round included a hamburger lunch. The burger was great. The greens were fast and true. Fairways were average. Pace of play was great. We played as a twosome in less than four hours.
Poor conditions
The course was very dry. In fact the ponds on 17 and 18 were empty. Does not bode well for the summer months. Greens were fine, but the rest of the course overall was poor. Sorry to see this.

The course is in poor shape. Fairways dry. No water in the ponds in 17 and 18. What's up?.
Rams Hill Golf Club

We have been playing Rams Hill, since it opened. It is open of the best courses in Southern California. It is worth the drive.

Borrego Springs Resort - The Palms Golf Course

We have been playing this course since it opened in the 90's. It has never been in better condition. New sand in the bunkers, greens fantastic. New owners has made the effort to make this a first class golf course.
Tecolote Canyon Golf Course

This a bit of secret jewel. On the surface, it appears to be a pretty straight forward layout, but the greens are tiny and fast. Tee boxes need some attention.
Rams Hill Golf Club
