Oesigolfer

Ein wahrhaft großartiger Platz, den wir in unseren 2 Wochen im Awali (das Greenfee ist im All-in Angebot inklusive) sehr oft gespielt haben. Fair für höhere HCPs, fordernd (insbesondere von Gold) für die besseren Spieler. 5 verschiedene Abschläge an jeder Bahn lassen jeden Golfer wählen, welches Golf er spielen will. Hier stimmt (fast) alles, vom Caddymaster, der einem die Shuttletür des Busses öffnet und einem das Bag zum Cart oder Trolley bringt, vom Checkin an der Rezeption, wo man freundlich empfangen wird, bei der Übergabe des Cart oder Trolley (mit Wasserversorgung) bis zur netten Begrüßung nach der Runde mit nasskalten erfrischendem Tuch.
Der Platz selbst ist wunderschön, sehr abwechslungsreich, jede Bahn bietet andere Möglichkeiten, Wasser, ein paar Graben, breite Fairways, relativ harte Bunker, und ist immer recht fair, weil die Fairways breit genug sind auch für manche Fehlschläge (aber nicht alle)... Man kann den Platz gut laufen, obwohl das bei den Temperaturen durchaus sportlich ist (die meisten fahren Cart), Wasser gibt‘s vom Caddymaster (im Cart auch gekühlt) und nach den ersten 9 Löchern an einer Zwischenstation auch stets einen Juice, Apfel oder Eis!
Die Driving Range ist gleich neben Tee 10 (von wo in der Hochsaison üblicherweise gestartet wird), Bälle dort teils ProV1, aber auch harte Murmeln dabei (normale Rangebälle eben).
Wir haben hier fast jeden Tag Golf gespielt, zumindest geübt oder den (auch sehr schönen und ohne Startzeit zu spielenden) Par3 Kurs bezwungen (zwischen 130 und 50m lange Bahnen).
Das Wetter war bis auf einen Monsunregen-Tag meist großartig, aber die Chance auf Regen gibt es durchaus fast täglich (warm aber natürlich doch nass), der Platz war sehr gut gebucht (was oft auch mit Wartezeiten durch langsamere Vorflights verbunden war).
Alles perfekt also? Nun, ein paar Punkte wären noch übrig, und daher hier meine Anregungen:

.) es gibt häufig No-Shows bei den Buchungen, was dazu führt, dass man kurzfristig oft nur Zeiten reservieren kann, zu denen man im Urlaub gern noch schläft. Wie wäre es, wenn man einen zumindest einen kleinen Obolus für NoShows fordert, sodass Leute ihre gebuchte Startzeit auch rechtzeitig absagen (müssen) wenn sie nicht spielen? Das erledigt auch gern die Rezeption des jeweiligen Hotels!

.) für die „Läufer“ unter uns gibt es wenig bis keine Sitzmöglichkeiten auf der Runde. Insbesondere wenn man an einem Abschlag in der Sonne warten muss, wäre das schön. Die ein oder andere Parkbank (mit Sonnenschirm?) würde vielleicht noch mehr Leute dazu animieren, den Platz zu Fuß zu bewältigen.

.) die Gebühren für die Trolleys (im Übrigen 3 Radtrolleys, auf denen das Bag nur bedingt gut hält, einen Gummizug mitzunehmen, schadet also nicht) find ich mit 500 Rupies (= ca. 13,-€) sehr hoch ggü. dem Cart. Etwas günstiger könnte man das durchaus anbieten und man animiert vielleicht noch mehr Leute zum Laufen (sorgt für „fittere“ Kunden, die viele Jahre wiederkommen!)

.) es gibt hier keine Blitzschutzhütten oder Unterstellmöglichkeiten bei Regen und Gewitter... nass werden ist hier zwar nicht so schlimm wie in Europa, aber Blitz ist Blitz...

Aber insgesamt ist das hier sonst ein wahres Paradies. Und dieser Platz ist einfach nur großartig! Wir wissen jedenfalls jetzt schon, dass wir wiederkommen werden!

Schloss Torgelow Course is one of the stages for the European Qualifying school - and they would not play here when it wasn't brilliant. Around the time of the qualifying school this course is simply the best you can play at Fleesensee, just perfect conditions! Of course green keeping works the year round to keep it in perfect shape and so the course plays very good throughout the year too. A very challenging, from white really challenging course, but quite fair from yellow/red. Don't miss your teetime when you walk to the first tee, it's a 10 Minute walk from the clubhouse!

This is a Par3 course - fair for exercising your short game. Easy to walk, just one water hazard, easy to play.

We played this course 3 times during our stay and walked / climbed it every time. Most people take a cart, but I rather walk. The first 2 times we rented a manual trolley, but it was to hard to pull/push it up and down the steep fairways, so we finally ended up carrying the bags (which was even easier!). The 18 holes are very different, none is like the other, but almost every hole has an elevation change reminding you, that you are in the tuscany area. Great views from the tee boxes, and a very challenging course if you walk! So you better be in good shape or take a cart if you don't dare to walk it. One of the best courses I've played so far and I'm quite sure they will raise the price soon. If you stay in a Castelfalfi Hotels (Tabacchaia or TUIBlue, both beautiful!) you get a 20% discount on the greenfee.
Good location if you want to visit Siena, Florence, Pisa, Volterra, or San Gimignano... All just a 1hour drive away.

this is the shortest of the 3 18holes at Fleesensee, plays quite fair, has only 1 Par5, rest is Par3 and Par4 - not very long and can be played within 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Good thing about the course is the closeness to the Clubhouse, tee10 starts directly in front of the terrace, 9th green ends there. So you will have many watchers when you tee off on 10!
The sunset on the 10th hole is very nice, once the German weather allows seeing it.

This 9hole course is a good course for practice for your short game, has only Par4 and Par3 holes (Par 31) and you can easily play it within an hour or 1 1/2.
It ha a special story to tell since it is the home course of the "Synchron Golf Club" which exists of actors & employees of the German film dubbing industry - and on every tee there is an information board about the history of the German dubbing industry.
The course itself is not very spectacular, but offers a nice quick round with sometimes very good results, just because it is easy to play with no water hazards. Perfect not only for beginners!

Fleesensee is a big resort, has to offer 72 holes (3x18 and 2x9), the Schlossplatz is a little "off site" since you can not walk from the clubhouse, but rather drive to the Schlosshotel (with the golf reception for this course) and walk through the garden to the first tee.
The course itself is rated the most difficult one of all the courses at Fleesensee and you sure find out why. A lot of water comes into play quickly, the holes are nice and various - a pretty challenging round awaits you.
I like hole 14 with the small lake in front of the Par3 green, a very challenging shot!
After the round you might want to have a drink on the terrace of the Schlosshotel with a nice view!
