Playing golf in Hawai’i can be a bit pricey. This gem used to be Military accessible only, but has since changed their policy to be open to the public. Under $50 with a golf cart, playing 18 championship holes on Oahu, is a bargain.. This is where the Army schedules their Championship tournament, so you know it has to be challenging. Military personnel pay different rates, depending on their rank. Pace of play is better than most. The greens were outstanding, the best I’ve seen in all the years I’ve played here.. Kudos to the course superintendent. Getting a tee time is fairly easy and walking on doesn’t mean a long wait.. Just beware, this course is located at a higher elevation and susceptible to the occasional showers. But hey, your playing golf in paradise. What more could you ask for except maybe a bite to eat or a drink after the round at the very affordable local style snack bar. Out of towers can feel like a local. Aloha.
