Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course
Played On 02/03/2020Good course, hard fairways, greens roll well.
Played this course twice recently and it was windy both days. The course was in good shape for winter, fairways are hard and currently being aerated, also patchy. Greens were in good shape, rolled nice and true. Every hole on the course has houses, as a new golfer it is a bit daunting and the score card clearly states "damage from errant shots are the golfers responsibility" but with that said the fairways are quite wide....#7 on on Hillside is a short par 4 with one of the narrowest fairways, homeowners will be ready to hand you an earful if you hook a shot....an enjoyable course design, plenty difficult, lots of water, very few on-course amenities.
Lone Tree Golf Course
Played On 01/31/2020Decent course, tough greens, tight layout.
I have played Lone Tree a few times recently. The course is a decent layout, it's pretty straight forward. The biggest issue is the Bermuda greens, they are fast in the summer and now that they are dormant are even faster. As a beginning golfer I can only describe them as a nightmare, luckily my brother was generous with the gimmies or I still might be trying to finish the round. It is a nice facility with new carts, a good range and warm up area. Fairways are in decent shape. It does seem a bit pricey considering the current shape of the course.
