Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
Played On 11/21/2022Viera East Golf Club
Played On 03/29/2018I'm back for good
Much improved from when I last played (twice) 2-1/2 years ago. Nice track with plenty of water. Green, green, green. End of winter and lush. Great blue Herons with babies on several holes proved it. Forgiving fairways and super fast weed-free greens were nice. Sand traps and the carts were in great shape with cell phone guide attached. This is it.
The Habitat Golf Course
Played On 01/16/2018Wonderful nature
Barely one house visible from the course. This is a hidden gem of a muni where nature abounds. Huge birds nesting, alligators, etc, etc. Greens run true w/o any weeds. Fairways have some rough spots but what do you expect for $20 on-line twilight? I'll keep coming here albeit a 50 min drive!
The Savannahs Golf Course
Played On 03/25/2017Great county course
Great county course and off the beaten track (5 miles from Kennedy Space Center so not that full of players. This is one of those courses not completely lined with houses and so seems more in nature. Habitat has even less (NONE). Greens were w/o weeds & no bare spots; cut well, rolled tru. Plenty of real Sand in the traps but fairways had an occasional bare spot. Otherwise lots of grass (and weed). Dog legs, 200 yd par 3's from blue plenty of water and swamp to negotiate. Played all alone at 3pm on Saturday with no one in front or behind. How else to play this individual sport game?
Lakes/Dolphin Golf Course at Cocoa Beach Country Club
Played On 12/11/2015Best greens in the Space Coast area
Vacationing in Cocoa Beach since 10/1/15 and played every course within 35 min drive (SWFL last 2 years, originally from Oahu, Hawaii). I average 30.5 putts per round the last 8 years. These greens on par with some of the best courses I have ever played: Naples, Hawaii, HI, NV. etc. Perhaps a little bumpy (tee'd 1:30pm), but still fast. For being in mid-Banana River, these people do a wonderful job. Watch for cabbage on the fairway edges......just move your ball!
Whispering Oak at Verandah
Played On 05/05/2014VERANDAH NICE
Second time I played this course (and the Old Orange once). Vey nice setup. Restaurant, well stocked Pro shop and very nice greens. Water coolers and ice machines around and needed here in SWFL. They called an 11.3 stimp on the 1st tee sign and certainly that. Had me with a 3 some but let me go early alone so a great practice round to learn the course more.
Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/15/2014Magnolia great Cape Coral course
Played for 2nd time. Been here one year and this is one of the top 4-5 courses in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area. A hidden gem, just north of the Caloosahatchee river with relatively fast greens and actual soil under the fairways, versus sand elsewhere.
Palmetto-Pine Country Club
Played On 6/20/2013Advertised as Best in Cape Coral and so far, seems to be.
This course was recommended by a golfer I walked on with last week and lived to his statements. When asked which would be the best Cape Coral GC, he pointed to this one. Excellent maintenance and greens were w/o weeds and bare spots. Slightly slower speed, though, than others around here. Mature trees and a welcomed mix of vegetation variety. Often just a few coconuts mixed with other assorted palms around here.
Ewa Beach Golf Club
Played On 3/14/2013Looks easy, but not.
You would think looking down the faiways it was a hohum course. Scttered trees line them, BUT they are KIAWE trees. Hard as emquite, the take your ball anywhere they want if you get into them. Lived on Oahu 39 years and #1 or #2 course for great courses on the island. We have a Palmer, Koolau (ough), but this baby is sweet. Hit em straight is all I can say.
Dear u00002661044,
Thanks for your 4 star review and for your business. We are working hard to eliminate those occasional bare spots and have a plan in place to do so by this summer. Thanks for your nice comments once again and we hope to have you back out real soon.
