Everything but the greens was a total mess. I have lived in area and played course many times over the years and various renovations and ownership. Current conditions are complete neglect, except for the greens. Fairways are just bad, bunkers are non existent, just overgrown weeds and mud. Tee boxes are fair at best. On the bright side, not busy and good value. This is a tough layout to start off with, and the greens made it challenging.

Course has been in excellent shape for the last year and a half. And now even the summer it’s still in great shape. A few greens have a couple spots on them. But isolated and 90% of the putting surfaces are very good

We encountered a huge amount of baby frogs 12-14 around pond
But more amusing than anything else

Greens are excellent. Fairways were a bit furry, but had a lot of rain 2 days prior. Tee boxes and around greens are lush and playable.
Have played this course more times than I can remember, and this is the best shape I have ever seen.
Cudos to greenskeeper, as he is killing it here.

The greens have made a huge comeback in recent years, and now are just about perfect. Even the trouble greens are good. Patchwork on 4,5 and 17, but that did not interfere with play. Fairways are a bit bare in spots, but they have new carts and price is right. Since this is a city course with a disc golf course adjacent, there are no houses on course at all.

Conditions have improved here dramatically since I last plaited here 2 months ago. Greens were excellent ans fairways and fee boxes were lush

I have not played the shores is years as conditions were sketchy last time. Have heard from friends that the greens were back. Anybody who knows this place will tell you that when the greens are good, they are the fastest things this side of Augusta national. They are back. Fairways are in good shape. Rest of course is a bit neglected. Tee boxes. Bunkers. Cart paths Are all showing their age. But best bang for your buck hands down in the Ocala area

Have not played here in well over 10 yrs. was. Dry surprised by course conditions fairways and greens were very good. Tee boxes and rough, not so much. They have added gps to carts. The clubhouse, cart paths and other areas are in need of some attention. But overall I will be adding Marion oaks back to my rotation.
