Crooked Cat at Orange County National
Played On 01/25/2024Nice track
The front side is clearly a little harder than the back 9 on this track. The overseeding during the offseason truly made this course look its best. Unfortunately, we were stuck behind a slow foursome which resulted in our round being just over 5hrs. The group was warned 4 times by the marshal (they had a 2 hole gap); however, that didn't appear to have any effect. If I had played this track under normal conditions I believe my experience would have been better.
Panther Lake at Orange County National
Played On 01/24/2024A MUST visit track!!
WOW!! The previous reviews were nice but didn't truly give this course the justice it deserved. Outstanding layout with pace of play at 4hrs. I was a single player in-between two foursomes. With that said, I really didn't have to wait that long (which was kind of surprising). Given the time of year I expected some marginal playing conditions on the course; however, the course was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. All of the bunkers were in excellent condition (which questions whether anybody was ever in them). The pro shop has ample space to accommodate plenty of guests. Plenty of parking and the driving range facility is extremely large. I played Crooked Cat the next day; however, believe Panther Lake is the better of the two tracks. Highly recommend.

Royal Kunia Country Club
Played On 09/14/2018Great Escape!!
My wife and I tried this course specifically because of the "Hot Deal" on GolfNow.com. Upon arrival we were placed behind a group of 14 visiting "hackers" who tried their level best to keep up the pace of play. A little on the slow side (finishing at 5hr + 30min). The course is in OUTSTANDING shape, the greens are running quick (not overly fast) but true, and the occasional view of Waikiki and Diamond Head are a treat. Our tee time took us into the tail end of the day when the sea breeze basically stopped which brought out the insects. Beautiful course with a nice comfortable layout made for a very affordable and enjoyable vacation day.
Hawaii Prince Golf Club - A/B Nines
Played On 07/09/2017Beautiful course but hasi no marshall
Although this corse sees quite a bit of play, management could certainly do a better job of marshalling. First, I never saw a marshall during my 5 and a half hour round of golf. Second, the pace of play was poor. Third, as there was no marshall the group in front took the liberty to park their golf cart "on" every green and tee box as it was quite hot that day. Lastly, the course was in really great shape with the greens running true and fast (about an 11 on speed). If you don't mind slow play and no golf etiquet then this is your llace to go.
Ewa Beach Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2015Outstanding Layout
Great views with an outstanding layout. The course lies at the tail end of the coastline so wind could be a factor depending on the time of play. It was extremely hot and humid during our round; however, the moderate tree coverage in the rough areas provided relief. The course is rather straight forward; however, if you get the ball offline (in the rough) the trees could become an issue. Pace of play was a little slower than I would've liked; however, it was a holiday weekend so I will take that into consideration. Bunker structure was solid and placed in strategic positions for the long hitter. Overall I would highly recommend playing this course whether you are a novice or experienced player. They offer both a local as well as military rate. Twilight rate proved to be the most economical.
Kiskiack Golf Club
Played On 10/25/2014Good bang for the buck
Overall the course was in nice shape. Several holes were a little difficult; however, good course management is the key. Arrived early and was paired up with a friendly threesome. No pressure golf made the afternoon quite enjoyable. Flow of play was at a comfortable pace. No hold ups. Greens rolled nicely and rough was manageable.
Creek/Oaks at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Resort
Played On 9/6/2013Good value for the GolfNow.com price
Played the Stone House then Oaks tracks. Stone House is not for the faint at heart - very tough and challenging with more blind shots than not. Despite the recent 100deg temps the greens and fairways were in good condition. Could tell that they watered the course frequently throughout the day. Can still see historic Indian artifacts throughout layout. The Oaks course was the easiest of the two tracks; however, can still be challenging with numerous elevation changes. Club selection against the valley breeze and elevation shifts proved challenging. Neither track is designed for beginner play. Driving range uses mats instead of grass. Despite positive comments, would not pay more than the reduced GolfNow.com price.
The Golf Club at Rancho California
Played On 09/03/2013Nice track with great views!!
Formerly the SCGA, as a Robert Trent Jones designed course this layout is not the faint at heart. Risk reward shots on virtually every hole. Large undulating "quick" but true greens ensures a three (3) putt if your not careful. The valley's panoramic views are stunning. Well watered fairways and greens keep the course in great shape even given the recent 100deg temps. A few trees in key positions make shot selection even more challenging. GolfNow pricing made this a value plus experience.
The Links at Summerly
Played On 9/2/2013Nice Links Design
With temperatures reaching the 100s it's been difficult to keep their fairways green - many trouble "dry" spots throughout. Lots of water being used; however, the light breeze coupled with the temp has been challenging for the super friendly course staff. Nice links design with risk-reward challenges throughout. Bailout areas are present but aren't readily known until you drive down the fairway. Off fairway grass has been trimmed down to help speed play - not that bad of a penalty. Overall I believe the course has some great merit and is worthy of play if the price is reasonable - which in our case with GolfNow.com it was. I would not pay full price in its current condition - not a slam, but being realistic.
