White Pine Golf Course
Played On 08/07/2020$9 course you can play for $33
Where to start - poor conditions, the tee boxes, fairways and greens are a nightmare. A semi truck of weed and feed with a good dose of water would be a start to getting this course in shape. The biggest problem are the greens, they have large dead spots with cracks deep into the soil. Lower the bar for your expectations if you choose to play golf in Ely, NV.
Sand Hollow Golf Resort - The Championship Course
Played On 06/24/2020Average course - above average price
Was told this course was an amazing experience and a must play in Southern Utah. There are a few what I call special holes on the back nine, but the front is pretty average and the rest of the back is pretty average. Even a discounted rate of $76 was too much for this course. It is a $59 course at the most.
TimberStone Golf Course
Played On 05/27/2020Long way to drive for average golf
TimberStone appears to be a fairly new golf course set up for golf course living. The layout is pretty average with some elevation changes. This is not a difficult or resort type of course and is a long drive from Boise.
Great Southern Golf Club
Played On 02/15/2020Close to the ocean
The course is located across the street from the ocean and probably gets a fair amount of wind daily. The tee boxes are pretty bare right now, the fairways are sparse and the greens are pretty rough. It was very difficult to get a putt to roll straight. Maybe the course is in better condition in the summer?
Los Caballeros Golf Club
Played On 08/18/2019Good conditions for summer
First time playing here and the staff was excellent in all respects. The course has some "summer skin" showing, but overall pretty good conditions. The greens (except a couple) are in fantastic shape, hold the ball well and putt true. Will go back again and again. I am sure the course conditions will improve in the fall when the over seed.
Legend Trail Golf Club
Played On 08/17/2019No excuse for this type of Slow Play
Hot weather, yes, but 4 and 5 groups on one hole because some clowns are drunk and trying to play golf - no excuse for that to happen. Course is in good condition for late summer. Staff is not too happy to be there on hot days, but you have to take the bad with the good. This course is too far out of town to drive out there and get into a death march in the late summer. Not worth the drive so won't be going out there again.
