The Ledges Golf Club
Played On 09/17/2019The Ledges is a winner
This course is one of the best I have ever played. Some amazing views and pristine conditions especially on the back 9. The staff was very professional, friendly and welcoming. The course is not easy you better bring your A game. The course will challenge you but is well worth making the trip.
St. George Golf Club
Played On 09/16/2019St George
While the value is undeniable the course leaves something to be desired. The conditions were poor with patchy fairways and most greens as well. The course does not have a driving range so no chance to warm up. The pace of play was ok a little slow on the back 9, a it was a twosome behind a foursome. The course layout was pretty good rather straight forward. If you are looking for price this would be a good fit. If you are looking for great conditions or a bit more challenging then one of the other courses in St. George might work better.
Pine Creek Golf Club
Played On 10/05/2017If you want a challenge
This course is really tough with narrow fairways, a decent amount of water and areas of long grass, bushes, and ditches to clear. It's in great shape and service was good. We let a single behind us play through and still under 4 hours including our horrible play. I liked this course but really challenging. I would not play here unless you have your game going. There was one problem the range was in bad shape not much grass to work with and it's a strange angle as well.
The Country Club of Colorado at Cheyenne Mountain Resort
Played On 10/04/2017Very Disappointing
The weather was bad, put that aside and I was very disappointed with my experience. The greens are covered with sand it a half inch deep on most greens. 16 of 18 greens are unplayable and they did not mention this when I called to make my tee time. The gal who checked us in was friendly, but the rest of the staff was no help. When I commented on the greens after we got done they were just ok whatever. No apology nothing. I would say don't bother it's exspensive and you don't get what you pay for.
Four Mile Ranch Golf Club
Played On 10/03/2017Unique
This course has a lot of unique features which is typical for a Jim Engh design. A lot elevation change, rocky adobe outcroppings. A decent number of blind shots. That aspect didn't bother me much. It was cool and wet when we played which slowed the greens down. The greens are ridiculous major tier changes and in normal circumstances very fast. I did really like this course and if are better player ask about their skins competition.
Walking Stick Golf Course
Played On 10/02/2017Surprised
I wasn't expecting much, but it was really nice. Conditions good, staff great, pace of play exactly 4 hours. The one thing that is a drawback is the layout is a little funky and not signed very well. The starter did tell us about that and gave a yardage book with a map and gave a quick overview. Really liked this course to spite how badly I played.
King's Deer Golf Club
Played On 10/01/2017This course was in great shape, very friendly staff. The main issues were recently aerated greens, but I was told about when I called and made the Tee time. The wind was like 20-25 mph sustained. Monument is a windy place and the course is in a valley. It's an excellent course though and it's a good challenge. Recommend maybe a good idea to play early as the wind picks up later in the day.
The Ridge at Castle Pines North
Played On 08/15/2017While on the expensive side this course is excellent and always in great shape. It is by no means easy it will challenge even the best players. Still very playable for your mid-handicapper. The bunkers are really horrible but that is the only drawback to this course.
