Rushed when they were not busy even though we were there early foursome came to the first tee box behind us and told us they were made to come up on us by the same angry women that sent us up early..lucky they played slow behind us so that was the last we saw them
Tee boxes were chewed up and unkempt fairways were mech better but the greens were a discrase..
Its sad because it was once a good place to play .

Inexpensive,relaxing ,enjoyable with conditions far exceeding the far more expensive poorly kept courses in the area(spring hollow)
Not very challenging but sometimes you just want to have fun and swing away .

Is takes more than cutting the grass to maintain a course. From tee box to the greens hard as stone. Anywhere but the rough keep your cllub head off the ground or you will hurt yourself and plan to land 20 yards short to stay on the green . The course looks nice and the layout is set for a good round but after 4 1/2 hrs and still having 4 holes to go we quit. It was a thursday. Played Golden Oaks on previous FRIDAY IN 3HR 45 MIN and took our time!

Start Times are disregarded,any pairings are haphazard at best and no shows are a plus ( they free up the otherwise worse rate of play ). I wound up playing with a poor young lady and her father who were getting a look at the course for this weekend tournament. They were greatly disappointed. Layout was challenging but conditions make it all pointless. Some tee boxes were so bad I would call them hazards, fairways were filled with an abundance of dry patches and the greens were soo slow uncut and extremely in need of repair. I will say no more no worth the effort.

Enough variations without a lot of hazards keeps the course interesting without making your round frustrating. Well maintained overall except bunkers could use some fresh sand and turning.

A great course for daily play affordable with enough challenge to get your game ready for and keeps it going all season.
