Honey Creek Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/06/2017Nice little hidden gem
We really enjoyed our round at Honey Creek. It was the first time playing the course for all 3 in our group, but we all agreed that we'd be returning again soon. The course winds through an older neighborhood with tree lined fairways, plenty of elevation changes and several holes with water in play. For those who tend to spray it off the tee, the fairways are generally wide and mostly forgiving. The greens were in great shape, and ball speeds remained pretty consistant throughout our round. While the tee boxes were generally level, several were worn from use, and lacking sufficient turf. Some fairway areas showed signs of heavy water runoff, but nothing to a point that would prevent us from returning. In fact we're looking forward to returning in a month or so, once the fairways have a chance to green up with spring. It's not a long course, and it's certainly not a resort course. It is however, a fun and very enjoyable course.
