Course is about to undergo green replacement. Greens are bad.
Course is dry and hard.
Pace of play terrible. 5 hour round in middle of day. Beginning players with no course etiquette holding up entire course and no rangers to be found.
Least enjoyable round in a long time.
I’d wait until new greens are established before considering this course.

I play here once every few years and am reminded why it's only that often.
The course is very unappealing to the eye. Tee shots are hit to blind landing areas, ski moguls are everywhere and throw even good shots into terrible lies The fairways are crowned (or steep slopes) so that shots all tend to roll into the woods/weeds/water.. There are lots of blind hazards and awkward shots to hit at imaginary targets. "Pick a line and hit and hope."
We had to wait for carts as all were on course. And only had one guy prepping carts as they returned. "Social distancing" guidelines were not being followed. Open pro shop and bar encouraged closeness.
Not a favorite!
However it was a beautiful day and sure beat sitting at home!
Hi Jon, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your round. The layout is certainly challenging. I think it gets easier the more you play it though. You can start to figure out where to hit it and miss it We actually are doing our best to follow all social distancing guidelines. That's the reason you had to wait for golf carts. We are limited by the single rider only rule. The pro shop is open, but we are sanitizing the counter tops and door handle constantly. We also have blue tape on the floors 6ft apart to show where you should stand while in line. I don't know what you mean by the bar encouraged closeness. The bar is only open for takeout food and drinks. We also have blue tape on the floor 6ft apart in there showing people where to stand while they pick up their order. We are taking everyone's safety seriously. We also sanitize the carts after each round, removed all rakes, removed water coolers, and placed obstructions in the cups to discourage people from touching the pins to get their balls out. We appreciate your feedback and hope you give the course another chance.

Tee boxes and fairways are in decent condition. However the greens are in horrible shape. Lots of dead/bare spots and rough.
I’d wait a month or so before booking and let greens heal.

Love this course. Has variety like no other courses around.
Greens are shaggy due to overseeding. Other than that it is in great shape.
Give it a week or two and it will be fine.

Very disappointed. Course is in dire straits. Really enjoy the layout and have played here over the years. Obviously something is wrong. Greens are horrendous. Fairways are muddy and unkempt. A very discouraging experience. Bunks
Would suggest wait until spring/ summer to play.

Course is really in rough shape. Greens are barely playable. Painted dirt basically.
Lots of area courses in much better shape.
Play this course in the summer and you will be much happier!

Hidden Hills Golf Course

Friday mid-day tee time and was extremely slow. Had a number of twosomes that were being held up every hole. No apparent effort to speed play by course staff. Had to wait on every shot, paired with twosome in front of us on our own and still had to wait on every shot. Need more ranger activity. Had to stop after 16 holes because of prior commitment....at that point we had in over 4 1/2 hours of playing!
Fairways are hard and barren, fairly typical I guess for this area right now. Greens were LIGHTING fast. Impossible to stop anything downhill. Some pin placements were set by a sadist!!
Having said all that ...I love this course. The variety and challenges presented are so different from most area courses. The elevation changes take me back to my Pennsylvania days.
Play it and if it's not too slow you'll love it-as long as you can carry the water. :)

Love this course. Has real elevation challenges and great variety of holes. Does not play like typical Florida course. Reminds me of home in Pa.
Top 3 of 4 courses I have played in Fl. ( of about50 courses). Greens are a real challenge due to slopes and undulations but are in great shape.

Poor greens were biggest problem. Fairways and tee boxes fairly good for this time of year. Course offers a lot of challenges from any tee.

Played for second time. Love this course. So much more variety of holes than typical course in this area. Great conditions and fun to play. Of the 50+ courses I've played in this area it is in top 5. Play it - you will like it!

Course was empty! Too hot for most. made our round very fast and enjoyable.
Greens were a little shaggy and slow but acceptable. Remainder of course was in good overall condition.
