The Architects Golf Club
Played On 10/23/2017Firm but fair
Places to get in trouble and some risk reward options. Had an enjoyable round, course well laid out and did not feel gimmicky despite the homage to a different architect on each hole. Will definitely play again when I can’t play my home course (Monday/winter). I’m a 6 index but this course will suit all levels if you play the correct tees.
Old Corkscrew Golf Club
Played On 02/06/2017Worth the extra
Pay the extra $30-$40 and give yourself a treat (or play what you are used to if you are a private country club member). Excellent conditioning, greens fast and true though some of the slopes on the greens mean you need to play the course a few times to know where to land the ball on the green. Finish uphill of the hole and you have a problem ! Played from the blues at 6,600 yards - a fair test if you are sub 10 handicap, higher than that and you had better play the whites. Pace of play was reasonable at 4 and a 1/4 - even though course was loaded. Overall a great day.
