We had an early tee time at 7 am and the lady in the pro shop was very very nice and courteous - greeting us as we walked up, asking if we were the 7:07 duo and we said yes. She pointed to the cart that was already prepped for us and, after paying we were off.
As the second group off, we played quickly, although there were a incredible number of single players with their own tee times so we had to get moving. I am shocked that there were not more of these singles paired up into foursomes or at least twosomes to keep the pace of play more constant and relaxed.
Course itself was in decent shape, although the greens were a bit long, and with the morning dew, very slow.
For $35 with cart, it was a reasonable price for a Saturday morning. I would expect to pay less during the week. And I am sure that the pace of play was significantly more slow as the day wore on.
Stonegate Golf Club
Played On 05/28/2023Great course but bring your own snacks.
I’ve played Stonegate a number of times and the course itself is usually in tremendous shape and is a great value. I’ve played here the last two days - the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Again the course was in great shape. There was not a starter or a ranger to be found but with a full tee sheet they really should watch this. Play was a it slow but not awful. A number of singles were let out and they would catch us and then turn around and jump holes. Not a big deal and we were playing good golf - mid to low 70’s by my partner and I was low 80’s.
My only real complaint is that there is minimal beverage and bar service. As a business owner myself, I can’t imagine leaving all that profit on the table by not having drinks and snacks readily available with a beverage cart and a active bar and grill on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.
It still is a very nice course that is well taken care of and a great value. Just bring your own drinks and snacks is my only recommendation.
The Meadows
Played On 07/03/2022Great Value
The Meadows offers a fair but challenging links layout at a very affordable rate. The course was in very good condition, with the greens and fairways in top shape. The tee boxes were pretty good as well, although a couple were off level. We played on a early Sunday morning which may be the cause for no beverage cart on the course - not great on a warm July day.
The Ravines Golf Club
Played On 09/05/2021Hurting for Help
Ravines is always a great course to play with a tough layout and well kept conditions. The course today was a bit wet from rains on the previous day and maybe overnight. The staff needed help thought - no starter on a Sunday??? Only one girl in the pro shop and no help in the bar. While it is still a great value in West Michigan, they have fallen a little short of my expectations - which given previous experience were very high. Like many golf clubs - both high end and low - courses everywhere are being hurt by a lack of workers.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing one of the most memorable rounds of golf here at American Dunes. The design by Mr. Nicklaus is beautiful. The challenge is available for most skill levels. The staff is as professional as any other high end course. And the cause is the ultimate reason behind this great golf experience. This is a must play venue. Well done.
West/South at Sycamore Hills Golf Club
Played On 05/12/2021SLOWEST ROUND OF GOLF IN 30 YEARS
Signed up for a 6 pm tee time. All nines were packed with leagues and golfers. I tee'd up at 6 pm. I left the course before finishing the 7th hole at 8:40 pm. That's right - 2 hours and 40 minutes for not even 7 holes of golf. Never saw one marshall to speed things along. The groups in front of me were not horrible golfers but were definitely screw offs, drinking heavily and using drugs.
Sycamore Hills is a nice public course but it can't be enjoyed because of these conditions.

Took my son out for 18 before he headed back to college and had a great day. Course was in great condition, weather was about perfect and the pace of play was reasonable for a Saturday afternoon.
Greystone Golf Club
Played On 08/08/2020A little Tricky
Very very tight fairways with trees on front nine provided no margin for error off the tee. Back nine was a little more friendly. The last 3 holes play around a large water quarry - they call it the "Finest 3 Finishing Holes in Michigan." Not the Finest but certainly the most tricky.
Number 17 - a dogleg par 4 around the water is as unreasonable a tee shot as I think I've ever seen. I hit it long and straight down the left side and the ball caromed all the way down to within 10 yards of the water - perfect position but I couldn't do that again with 12 tries.
Number 18 is a longish par 4 to an Island like green. I hit a nice long drive down the left side - perfect! No - in the left rough as the fairway is only 13 yards wide. Not really a fair play.
It is a challenge and if you and the group want to have some fun and not worry about scoring, then this course is for you. Good value for the price.
The Meadows
Played On 07/19/2020Felt like Scotland....
Early morning tee time (6:30) brought ominous clouds and wind gusts to 30 MPH. Lots of fun on this fine links course. Starter was a tad late showing up to send me off but he's always very friendly. As the fist one off, I had a single behind me that kept me moving. Finished the front 9 in an hour!
Back nine was challenging as the wind and rain really started to set it. Got to the 16th green (in two hours mind you!) before the lightening put an end to the round.
This is a nice course to play and the staff is always friendly. They never do seem to have any amenities avaiable though - beer cart, snacks, etc. Bring your own!
Terra Verde Golf Course
Played On 07/11/2020Terre Verde
Great course for those that play infrequently and just want to go out and have some fun. Not a course for the serious golfer. Greens are browned out from the hot summer and the parking lot is softer than the rough. If you just want to go out and have fun (in a courteous way of course) on the golf course, then this will work for you. If you are looking to work on your game or play a competitive round - not so much.

Nice early Father's Day round. Pace of play was good. The course was a bit soggy from the overnight rain. At $72, was a bit higher than normal for a round booked here though Golf Now. Usually the fee is around $58.
Pilgrim's Run Golf Club
Played On 06/20/2020Great Course in the middle of nowhere
Beautiful course in a very gorgeous and wooded layout. Quite challenging from the blue tees.
Course could use a marshal to keep the pace of play up as it took 4.5 hours for a 7 am tee time. Definitely recommend it and also recommend that the starter or marshal suggest the appropriate tee boxes for the golfer based on skill and/or handicap.

Played On 05/31/2020Better than Average Value
It was a nice Sunday afternoon round. Some young famnilies slowed it down a bit. Course in very good condition except for the first par 3, which had too many goose droppings on the green to make it put worthy.
Overall, very good value for what I paid. Just be mindful that young families from the surrounding homes maybe out late on a weekend day that will cut your round short.
Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Bluffs/Peaks Golf Course at Boulder Pointe Golf Club.
White/Gold at Bello Woods Golf Course
Played On 06/27/2020Good Value
Good value if all you want to do is swing the club. Course is good for beginners and infrequent golfers. Not much traffic on the course so it played fast. Rough is dried out so anything off the fairway will run forever and jeopardizes finding the golf ball. 27 holes makes it crowded and a bit dangerous. More than once I had to wait for others to play out of my fairway and line of play.
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give Bello Woods Golf Club another try in the near future.
Macatawa Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2020Happy Father’s Day
Nice round early on Father’s Day. 7 am tee time with only two groups in front of us kept the round under 4 hours. Course in good condition.
Like this course because you have distance from the Blue tees at 6800 yards but also fair landing areas off the tees.
Would be nice if there was better service from the clubhouse regarding beverages on the course.
Thank you for your review. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Pilgrim's Run Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
