My favorite public course to play in the Chicago land area!!

I play Willow Glen several times a year, but this was my first time playing it this year. I couldn't believe how burnt out the greens were. The course is usually in pretty good shape, but it is in the worst condition then any of the other courses that I play. Won't be back until the course is fixed!! We have a lot a rain here this year and I really don't understand!!!

Shepherd's is one of my favorite courses, not only for me, but some of my friends who live in Lake County. It's difficult, but fair. This past Sunday when I played it was very breezy which added to the challenge. I am and average to good golfer but depending on where they place the pins, a 79 can become a quick 89!

I'll play it a few more times this year, but when it is less windy!!

It could be a nice course. Leaves laying everywhere, and my playing companions had difficulty finding golf balls. Owners building a new casino, and the course is torn up and aid out terribly with temporary holes.

On the back nine we caught a foursome who were the SLOWEST golfers in the world and playing from the tips, when in fact they should have played from the lady's tee. No sign of a marshal. I complained to the golf shop after the round.

One time playing this course, and only one time!!

It was a fun course. Some easy par 3's and some difficult ones. Sand in the bunkers, and the greens were in good condition. No problem with pace of play.

I will play it again!

I played this course several years ago, but the wind was howling that day. When I played it yesterday, there was no wind. It was a much more playable course. If windy, this course can be extremely difficult. Anyway, the greens were good, and there was sand in the bunkers, so it was playable.

I enjoyed playing the Norman course. First time that I've played it in about 10 years. The course was in good shape, and there was sand in the bunkers. Greens were pretty true! This course requires accuracy with every shot. A good mix of holes, especially on the Par 3's. I will play it again!

Only problem was we had to wait on several holes, so they to have an active marshall!!

While I've played this course before, I never played this combination. Played with some nice people and that added to the round. Played well, so that too contributed to the day! There are difficulties on the course , but I avoided a lot of them. Greens were fine, and the traps had sand, so overall two thumbs up!!

Since I played will, I really liked the course. It was fair, but there was enough trouble on the course to increase one's score. The greens were quick, and there was sand in the bunkers. Fun course!!

Played this course a few years ago, but thought it was in better shape this time around. They took out several ponds and replaced them with large waste areas. Bunkers need work, as they have very little sand in them. Greens were in good shape!

Greens were perfect, but the bunkers had little sand and were hard as rocks. It wasn't a fair test. They need to do some work on them.

/Course was fine as was he pace of play. One detractor were the bunkers. Not enough sand and they need work!

Played the resort course and supposedly it is the nicer of the two.

First time playing the course. Hadn't played it before ,because I heard it wasn't in good shape. Not true! It was challenging and the bunkers and greens were in good shape. Lot of water in strategic locations.

I will play it again, and hope that I play as well as I did yesterday!

Never played this course before, but it was fun!

Very playable, but had some challenging holes. Definitely help build your short game. I for one, will play it again!

Almost a 5 hour round. Nice course, nice staff, but pace of ply is unacceptable. Never saw a marshall.

Sand in bunkers, but had a SLOW 3 some in front of us who shouldn't have played from the tips. They were looking for golf balls most of the day.

Pace unacceptable!!

Arboretum was in good shape, and more importantly the greens were consistent. We played behind a slow group on the front nine and NEVER saw a ranger. Fortunately, they quit after nine and we played in a little under four hours. I'll go back and play this course again!

First time playing Cary this year, and a new first. While the weatherman predicted good weather and 70, it was windy, then a sudden storm came up dumping hail on the course. Fortunately, 20 minutes later the sun came out and quickly melted everything. Finished the round in under four hour including the stoppage. Course was in good shape for this early in the year!

I've played this course numerous times over the years, but this year was different. They've taken down 186 trees on the front because of the ash borer!

It's a shame, but it has made the course a little easier!

The course was shorter than what I remembered, but for the most part, each hole required driving accuracy. One of the holes on the back was a little hokey as two pools of water came into play.
the greens were fair and the traps were consistent. I hadn't played this course for 20 years, but I will play it again when I go back to Scottsdale.
